ANSI’s “Conference for Certification of Personnel: Facilitating Trade in Services Around the World” aims to prepare certification organizations and individuals for the global economy’s trend toward labor offshoring and the mobility of workers. The conference will be held October 6, as part of World Standards Week 2005 events.

VENUE CHANGE: October 6 ANSI Events (September 13, 2005)

The ANSI Annual Conference, "From A to Veeck: Standardization and the Law," and the Accreditation of Personnel Conference: "Facilitating trade in services around the world," will now be held at the J.W. Marriott in Washington, DC. (Other ANSI meetings and events scheduled at the Marriott at Metro Center remain the same.)

New International Standard for Safe Food Supply Chains (September 6, 2005)

A new international standard for food safety management systems is designed to ensure safe food supply chains worldwide. ISO 22000:2005, Food safety management systems – Requirements for any organization in the food chain, provides a framework for organizations to demonstrate the ability to control food safety hazards.

ANSI Seeks Input on Getting Regulators in Asia-Pacific Region Involved in Standardization (September 2, 2005)

In response to a resolution from the 2005 Pacific Area Standards Congress meeting emphasizing the importance of involving regulators in standardization, ANSI is requesting input from its members on how to increase the involvement of regulators at future PASC meetings.
