A Programme Manager to join the Connect team.

Key Information

●  Full time 9 to 5 working hours with a requirement to work outside these hours as needed

●  Salary up to maximum of £33,000 including potential for discretionary bonus

The Role

Working as an integral member of the Connect team, the Programme Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of Connect programmes ensuring goals and objectives are achieved on time, within budget and to the required quality.

Functions

●  Build and maintain strong relationships with key influencers from academia and business

●  Actively inspire and engage potential programme participants

●  Design programme events to ensure an exceptional user experience

●  Collaboratively improve programme content through design thinking methodology

●  Plan, organise and deliver the events for each programme including suitable venues and speakers as required

●  Raise required sponsorship for programme activities

●  Organise regular Steering Team meetings for both programmes

●  Prepare and deliver visually appealing and highly engaging presentations to a range of audiences as required

●  Set and manage budgets for each programme

●  Extensive use of Salesforce to maintain records and run reports

●  Work with other programme managers to leverage synergies between programmes for entrepreneurs.

●  To effectively monitor and track feedback on programmes and use to continually improve programme content

●  Writing and publishing targeted content across all digital channels, including: websites, blogs, forums, social networks, and email newsletters.

●  Regular reporting to Head of Programmes

●  Keep abreast of current and new developments in the entrepreneurial world and science and technology.

●  Undertaking any other reasonable duties which fall within the remit of this role.

Person Specification

Areas to be assessed / Essential / Desirable
Qualifications / ·  Third level education / ·  Relevant degree in technology or business related disciplines
Experience/
knowledge / ·  At least two years programme or event management experience including effective promotion, creative design and delivery
·  A genuine interest and curiosity about emerging technologies / ·  Experience with project management tools and processes
·  Experience within a science or technology company
·  Experience of CRM systems
·  Experience raising Sponsorship for events
Skills/qualities / ·  Strategic business use of social media including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
·  Highly competent in Microsoft Office, eg, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM solutions such as Salesforce
·  Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
·  A proven team player
·  Organised, self-motivated and excellent time management
·  Ability to build and maintain relationships and integrate a diverse range of stakeholders from academia and business
Special requirements / ·  Proof of right to work in the UK
·  On occasions to work evenings and weekends for events
