Lord Kelvin Elementary School Drop In Program: We've added another day! Join us on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday mornings from 9:00 – 11:00 for our family drop-in program at 1010 Hamilton Street (In the green portable on the 7th Avenue side). Enjoy playtime, art, play dough, snacks and songs. Closed when the school is closed. Re-starting on Tuesday, Sept 15th Funded by the United Way

Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program for parents of children aged 0 – 5, running for six consecutive Thursdays from 1:30 – 3:30 at our main site. The next session will start September 17th . Childminding is provided and pre-registration is required.

Dates to Remember in September:

Sept 1st Clothing Exchange – gently used children's clothing available in the morning and afternoon sessions.

15th ** Please note: the clothing exchange is open to Family Place clients only. By donation.

Sept 2nd Movie & Popcorn for parents. Enjoy a movie while the children play. The movie starts promptly at 9:30 so please arrive on time.

Sept 10th Child Development Specialist will be here to answer your questions. 10:00 – 11:00

Sept 8th Pasta Morning! The children receive a hot pasta snack in the morning session. There will be a nutritious snack served in the afternoon session.

Sept 24th Public Health Nurse will be here to answer your questions. 10:00 – 11:00

Sept 25th Birthday Party for all of the children who have had a birthday this month. Be sure to tell staff if your child has a September birthday.

Parent Education Classeson Wednesday mornings. Childminding is provided. Please arrive promptly at 9:30 to settle your children in the playroom.

Sept 9th - Kids in Bilingual Homes: Do you speak more than one language in your home? Do you wonder about your child's language development? Join Jane to learn more.

Sept 16th - Bonding Through Songs & Rhymes: Join Gordana to learn new songs and rhymes to share and enjoy with your children.

Sept 23rd - Choosing Suitable Daycare: Learn what to look for and what questions to ask before you leave your child in the care of others. The speaker is from YMCA Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR)

Sept 30th - Supporting Children's Play:Join Marjorie for a discussion on the importance of play to your child's development.

Pub Night, Thursday, Sept 17th – Join us at the Paddlewheeler Pub at the River Market.

Dinner and beverage $25. Entertainment and lots of items to bid on at the silent auction.

Kids Swap Meet, Saturday, Sept 26th – Upstairs at the River Market.

Purchase a table and sell your child's out grown clothes and equipment or come to buy what you need.
