JOB DESCRIPTION

RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

1. Greet all visitors to Township Office.

Answer inquiries, assists in giving permit applications and providing visitors with necessary Township information, direct individuals to appropriate staff members if available.

2. Receive all incoming telephone calls, assisting callers by providing all necessary township information, and refer calls accordingly.

3. Assume responsibility for issuing applications; maintain forms and records.

4. Learn scanning and filing of DocSTAR.

5. Assist Township Manager, Township Secretary/Treasurer and Codes Department with the following:

(a) Routine typing, filing and mailing

(b) Preparation of agenda, minutes and miscellaneous office procedures for various Township Commissions and Boards (Recreation, Historical)

(c) Respond to citizen complaints, questions on ordinances and taxes, property ownership, addresses and other appropriate Township matters.

(d) Errands (i.e. post office, deliver agendas, etc.)

(e) Learn overall office operation and procedures so as to perform any other duties directed by the Township Manager.

6. Prepare meeting minutes for Municipal Authority and Water Authority and track hours for billing.
