· Target freight transport sector as it is the largest contributor to vehicular pollution

· Retrofitting vehicles with DFP filters

· States should demand cleaner fuel standards and emission standards from Central Government

· Multisectoral/interdepartmental body (urban, transport, petroleum, health, etc.) to be set up to recommend guidelines

· Fuel efficiency norms to be set up

· Older diesel trucks to pay additional tax

· Municipal body to fund electric charging stations for cars – a pilot study to achieve zero emission target

· Public health research to build up evidence

· Focussed public awareness through NGOs; sustainable campaigning
