A JOINT RESOLUTION naming a bridge in Jenkins, Kentucky in honor of Mayor Robert Earl "Pud" Shubert.
WHEREAS, Mayor Shubert is a loving husband and devoted father to three daughters; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Shubert is a proud veteran of the United States Armed Forces; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Shubert is an active member of the Kentucky League of Cities, the Kentucky River Area Development District, and several state boards; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Shubert was instrumental in planning how the reconstruction of United States Route 23 would benefit the City of Jenkins, as well as protecting the city's access to the newly reconstructed route;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Transportation Cabinet shall name the bridge on United States Route 23 that crosses Kentucky Route 805 west of the City of Jenkins the "Mayor Robert Earl "Pud" Shubert bridge."
Section 2. The Transportation Cabinet shall, within thirty days of the effective date of this Resolution, erect signs on each approach to the bridge on United States Route 23 that crosses Kentucky Route 805 west of the City of Jenkins that read "Mayor Robert Earl "Pud" Shubert bridge."
