The Berkley Steelers BOD has been working hard preparing for the 2008 season. This year we are proud to offer our players/cheerleaders the same level of play, experience and competition they’ve come to expect, but at a REDUCED COST.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

There are still a few board positions available, and we could use some help maintaining our website. If interested, contact Steve Tighe (248) 321-1083.

SPRING CLEANING?

We’re still missing a few helmets, pads, and poms. If you come across any equipment, please contact Brad Gordon (248) 842-6276 to arrange a pick-up.

FEES AND FORMS

· All forms will be available at registration, or you may download them off our website.

· Registration fees are $95 for one child, $85 for second child and $75 for each additional child.

· Birth certificates and a recent picture are required.

· Physical exam, dated after April 15, 2008 is required for all participants prior to the first day of practice.

· A $50 per family “volunteer deposit” is required. A minimum of 6 hours per participant is required to be eligible for a refund at the end of the season.

· Mandatory fundraiser: A $50.00 fundraising fee for each participant must be paid at registration. You will receive ten $5.00 raffle tickets to sell to friends and family. Drawing will be held October 4, 2008.

BERKLEY DAYS

Community organizations, including the Berkley Steelers, need your support. We will be looking for volunteers to help out in the beer tent and at the information table. This event will be held at the Community Center May 15 – 18th.

SAVE THE DATES

· 8-01-08 Mandatory parent meeting @ 7 PM.

· 8-11-08 1st day of practice.
