SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
The following is a brief summary of the new and revised paragraphs in the Standard for Adapters And Cylinder Connection Devices For Portable LP-Gas Cylinder Assemblies, UL 2061, which have a future Effective Date of May 9, 2014 and the action that may be required to determine compliance.
Paragraphs / General Subject and Comment /5.3 and 5.3.1 / Allows straight threads as a means to connect pressure parts in the assembly of the adapter or coupling but the design shall meet construction and performance requirements in these paragraphs as well as the paragraphs below.
9.3 and 9.4 / Describes the test methods for the evaluation of the assembly using straight threads.
Table 8.1 / This table identifies the samples needed for the performance tests in paragraphs 9.3 and 9.4
