Monday, 22nd JANUARY 2014 held at the SAURINES Golf Club.

The minutes of the Committee meeting on 2nd December 2013 were read & agreed unanimously.
Matters arising – nil
Treasurers Report - Paul Action
The balance stands at 2343.95€ at the 31st December 2013.
The Society stands at 72 members.
There was a reduction of 5€ from the game at La Serena for charity, making 115€ which
was donated to the “CARMEN MEMORIAL FUND”, also a donation of 85€ from the Society
which all Committee members agreed, would also go to this fund, making a total of 200€.
To date Alex informed us that they had raised 2700€.
Report - Alex Action
Las COLINAS - (16th Dec 2013) – This was an additional game for only 16 players.
RODA – (6th Jan 2014) – The format was Individual Stableford. Only 11 members and
1 guest played in this game. The course was in excellent condition.
The winner was Joyce Armstrong with 38 points.
SAURINES - (22nd Jan 2014) – The format was Pairs – Better Ball Stableford.
15 members played in this game. The course was in very good condition even though the
Fairways were “slitted”. Unfortunately there are no practice facilities.
The winners were Kevin Parker & Ian Smith with 43 points, a close win on count back.
Social Report - Roger/Mick
The Society has arranged for the dinner for the 7th February 2014 at “Cristals Restaurant”, Action
Campamor. Dinner (3 courses) with music at a cost of 15€ per person, 20 people wishes to
Attend. The Society will donate a bottle of wine per couple (approx 50€).

Joyce Armstrong handicap was increased prior to playing at Roda from 26.2 to 28.0
And she was reduced from 28.0 to 27.0 after the game. All others either remained the
Same or had their handicap adjusted by 0.1/0.2.
Due to the mis-informed Tee placements when we played La Serena in December, the
"PLAYER of the YEAR 2013-14” has been revised, after a few players complained,
that the tee positions were on fairways and more than the permitted distance for it
to be within the Federation.
We are sorry to anyone concerned and that the Scoreswill not count towards the
P.of the Y 2013-14, and the handicaps will be reverted backto December H'Caps.

Murcia League Report – Mick Action
The result of the game at Mar Menor on Monday 18th January 2014 was a draw over
Roco Gogs by 2 to 2 pts.
The next game will be at Saurines on Monday, 10th February 2014, our opponents
will be Club 25.
League Positions – 1st – Club 25 - 29 pts, 2nd – Sierra Golf – 25 pts, 3rd - Roca Gogs – 23 pts,
4th – San Javier – 22 pts.
