Whole Foods Market in North Raleigh is committed to the betterment of our community, and strives to educate shoppers about health, sustainability, and of course, food! In addition to the service and commitment to quality that all Whole Foods Markets offer, our store is the only store in the South Region that is LEED certified GOLD, and we are the first Whole Foods Market in the entire country to be recognized as a “Zero Waste” facility by the EPA!
We have a full time Healthy Eating Specialist and Cooking Coach on staff, as well as Liaisons that lead our Green Mission and Local initiatives!

ABOUT OUR TOURS
Let us show you around! We’re happy to customize a tour to educate and entertain your group!
Some of our common tour themes are:
● Healthy Eating ● Shopping on a Budget ● Going Green/Organic ● Where food comes from ● Who we are (our mission)
Our tours are suitable for ages 5-105! We ask that groups not exceed 20, or are split into two sessions. Groups of children will need to have 1 adult chaperone per 6 children. Our tours generally last between forty minutes and one hour, and we schedule them during our slowest traffic hours for ease of movement. In general, we ask for groups to visit Mon-Thurs, before 11:30am or after 6pm, though some flexibility might be available. We will travel through all of our departments; however, “behind the scenes” tours are not permitted for liability reasons.
Tours are free of charge. We receive many requests and they will be honored on a first come, first serve basis. We ask that requests are sent
at least 2 weeks prior to tour request date. One month or more is recommended as dates and times are limited!

■Please note that during very busy times of the year, we are unable to support most store tours. We do not honor tour requests the week before or of Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years. Thanks for your understanding!
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR CHILDREN’S TOURS: Participants will have the opportunity to sample various products and food items offered in our store, and may receive a “goodie bag” to take home. We at Whole Foods Market realize that there are numerous children with various food allergies, some of which can be severe. There is also a wide array of dietary preferences that we value and wish to honor. A permission slip/waiver has been provided for distribution to parents or guardians that will include food allergies/diet preference.

We at Whole Foods Market realize that there are numerous children with various food allergies, some of which can be severe. There is also a wide array of dietary preferences that we value and wish to honor. If your child is visiting our store without your presence, we ask that you look over our permission form and provide us with as much information as possible, to best ensure the safety of your child. (Note: Children are never able to be left in our store unaccompanied by adult supervision)
