We are seeking a Driver Training Educator responsible for promoting AAA in the community through relationships with statewide organizations and groups that support AAA's mission. They represent AAA Arizona on a variety of external safety committees, held by various municipal agencies or community organizations as well as provide instruction of various AAA approved traffic safety programs.
Responsibilities include:
· Provides instruction and evaluation of AAA Driving School concepts and/or Driver Improvement Program concepts in accordance with State, club and local laws
· Implements online and classroom Roadwise Driver program for seniors and works to implement online novice and ticket dismissal courses, using AAA curriculum
· Maintains curriculum guidelines and requirements of State, club, and schools
· Records, databases, and files in accordance with state, local and club regulations
· Processes registrations and payments for courses and creates safety materials for distribution
· Administers tests to evaluate student progress, records results, provides feedback and issues evaluation reports as required
· Hosts quarterly Permit Prep Challenge workshops for teens and their parents
· Develops, implements and promotes workshops, safety education programs, seminars and other speaking engagements designed to educate members and non-members on traffic safety issues and AAA programs and services
· Represents AAA on a variety of external committees and groups including the ADOT driver training subcommittee and Motor Vehicle Third Party Association
· Works with the AAA association, state court system, and motor vehicle department on driver training standards and to identify additional opportunities, (novice online and ticket dismissal programs)
· Creates innovative and relevant partnership opportunities to spread driver training programs across the state
· Completes and maintains course registrations, assists with payment processing, and maintains course evaluation records
· Maintains inventory of driver training materials
· Attends staff meetings and/or training requirements
· Assembles kits for distribution
· Responds to member requests and assists with general safety questions
Key requirements include:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· At least one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
· MVD certification to teach driver training and must maintain current MVD instructor certification
· Must obtain AAA instructor certification, as necessary
· Valid Arizona Drivers License; Must use own transportation for in-state driving
· Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Ability to use classroom teaching tools including, LCD projector, VCR, DVD, etc.
· Bilingual, Spanish speaker preferred
