I / Sponsored Programs Specialist / High School Diploma and 2 years general office experience; or
Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year general office experience; or
Master’s Degree and 1 years general office experience.
Approved position-related training such as: NCURA, SRA, AUTM, etc. / Under the direction of more senior personnel administering sub-contracts, grants and contracts. Has no signature authority obligating the institution for sponsored research. / Performs specific duties and responsibilities as specified in the job description, which may include: data entry, account setup, file maintenance and project preparation and review as approved.
II / Sponsored Program Administrator / High School Diploma and 1 year research admin experience; or
Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year research administration experience;
Master’s Degree and 1 year research administration experience.
Approved position-related training such as: NCURA, SRA, AUTM, etc. / Works with more senior personnel developing and administering domestic subcontracts, grants and contracts. Has limited signature authority up to $100,000 for federal grants obligating the institution for sponsored research as authorized. / Performs specific duties and responsibilities as specified in the job description, which may include: data entry, account setup, file maintenance and project preparation and review as approved.
III / Sponsored Program Administrator / High School Diploma and 5 years of research administration experience; or
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of research administration experience; or
Master’s Degree and 2 years of research administration experience
Cert.of USU train within previous three years, USU basic and intermediate supervisory training, confidentiality training and other training as required by specific department.
Position-related training such as: NCURA, SRA, AUTM, etc. / Works independently or with more senior officer in developing, administering and negotiating domestic sub-contracts, grants and contracts. Has limited signature authority up to $500,000 for federal, state and local grants and contracts obligating the institution for sponsored research as authorized. / Performs specific duties and responsibilities as specified in the job description, which may include: data entry, account setup, file maintenance and project preparation and review as approved.
IV / Sr. Sponsored Program Administrator / High School Diploma, 15 years of research administration experience, and designation of Certified Research Administrator; or
Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of research administration experience; or
Master’s Degree and 8 years of research administration experience
Certification of USU training within previous three years, USU basic and intermediate supervisory training, confidentiality training and other training as required by specific department.
Approved position-related training such as: NCURA, SRA, AUTM, etc. / Works independently or with more senior officer in developing and administering domestic, foreign and commercial sub-contracts, grants and contracts. Has limited signature authority and negotiation authority of contracts up to $750,000 for federal, state and local grants and contracts obligating the institution for sponsored research as authorized. / Performs specific duties and responsibilities as specified in the job description, which may include: data entry, account setup, file maintenance and project preparation and review as approved.
V / Sr. Sponsored Program Administrator / Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years of research administration experience; or
Master’s Degree and 14 years of research administration experience
Certification of USU training within previous three years, USU basic and intermediate supervisory training, confidentiality training and other training as required by specific department.
Approved position-related training such as: NCURA, SRA, AUTM, etc. / Directs own areas in developing, administering and negotiating domestic, foreign and commercial sub-contracts, grants and contracts. Has total signature authority to obligate the institution for sponsored research up to $1,000,000. / Performs specific duties and responsibilities as specified in the job description, which may include: data entry, account setup, file maintenance and project preparation and review as approved.
