Professional Experience

Remote Sensing Data Manager

Illinois State Geological Survey | February 2013 – present

· Serve at the data manager for the Illinois Height Modernization Program by managing and maintain remote sensing and related geospatial data, principally Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data and to assist in project / data presentations of the programs progress at conferences.

· Review reports from analysts on quality assurance and control (QAQC) tests performed on LiDAR data deliveries to communicate with data vendors of any errors and ensure corrections are made within the allotted time frame of the contract.

· Perform data stewardship by designing and developing a Lidar downloads web page served thru the ISGS clearinghouse to establish a web based delivery method to ensure public access to all LiDAR data formats.

· Assist in developing project scopes of work for proposals of new LiDAR acquisitions and reviewing those proposals to ensure the data collected is current with base standards and that pricing and products are reviewed.

· Supervise hourly and student assistants in fulfilling data requests, creating derivative products and construction of project and product level metadata

GIS Technician II

Champaign County GIS Consortium. | November 2006 – February 2013

· Conduct GIS work for Champaign County and the Regional Planning Commission;

o Processing of new aerial photos acquisitions; compression and mosaicking

o Collection of historic aerial photography and thus cropping, georeferencing, color blending and mosaicking

o Maintain and update several spatial databases administered through the Champaign County server.

o Political boundary updates due to the new census boundary data.

o Awarded NSDI FGDC Grant for Metadata Training in 2010
