Reading Lesson: Sequence of Events / Grade Level: 3
Lesson Summary: Students will understand and identify the sequence of events in a story. Students will pay attention to the sequence of events in the selection. They will practice arranging events in correct sequence using the Activity Worksheet. Students will then write events of a story on index cards, the teacher will post them, and students will arrange them in proper order. Advanced learners will write stories in mixed-up order then swap with a partner who will rearrange them correctly. Struggling learners will look at favorite stories and consider what might happen if events happened in a different order.
