Q: My unit won't turn on, is it dead? (Tips below apply to Alpha and Primer)
A: Please try the steps below:
1) Please allow at least 2 hours of charging before turning on your unit although we recommend overnight for the first 5 charges.
2) If unit still won't turn on, then soft reset the unit by pressing the reset button on the back of the unit with paper clip, then insert AC adapter.
Q: The touch-screen is inaccurate or unresponsive, is the unit defective? (Tips below apply to Alpha and Primer)
A: No, the screen just needs to be calibrated. Also, both feature resistive screens which require a bit of pressure. A stylus is recommended but not necessary.
Alpha Calibration-The screen calibration occurs after a Factory reset. There will be 3 white crosshairs during the calibration process. The 2 methods to factory reset the Alpha are:
1) Go Home>Menu>Settings>Privacy>Factory Reset
or
2) Start off with your tablet “Off” by pressing the reset button the back.
1) Press and hold the “Power” and “Home” button at the same time
2) When you see the SkyPad logo, release the “Power” and continue holding the “Home” button
3) When the screen changes and you see “Reboot”, use the “Menu” to move the highlight down to 3rd option called Factory reset and hit “Home”.
4) You’ll see a series of “No” then a Yes, select that and hit “Home”
5) Once you see “Reboot” again, press “Home” to select.
6) After the tablet reboots, you’ll see a white “+” 3 times, please press them to calibrate your screen.
7) Your tablet is calibrated and ready for use.

Q: Do I need to call and activate my tablet? (Tips below apply to Alpha and Primer)
A: No, the models offered in North America do not require activation.
Q: How do I connect to the internet? (Tips below apply to Alpha and Primer)
A: You must have a WiFi network at home to connect to the internet, some setup tips are below:
1) Go Home>Menu>Settings>Wireless and Networks>WiFi Settings. Make sure the WiFi checkbox is checked. Click on your WiFi SSID below. When entering password, we strongly recommend checking "Show password" as most connection issues are due to incorrect passwords.
Q: I was connected to the internet but now it won't connect! (Tips below apply to Alpha and Primer)
A: Sometimes Android doesn't wake up the WiFi properly, simply uncheck and check WiFi box under WiFi Settings.
Q: When browsing the web, how come the videos don't show? (Alpha only)
A You'll need to install Flash 11 on the tablet. Please email if you need install files for Flash11, Netflix, or Youtube.
Q: When I plug my tablet to the PC, it's asking for drivers. Where do I get those? (Tips below apply to Alpha and Primer)
A: There are no drivers required. Look at the top left corner of the screen for a USB icon. Place finger on it to pull down notification window. Press "USB Connected" and then on the lower right corner of the next screen press Turn on USB Storage. Once done with file transfers, please be sure to turn off USB storage.
Q: Can I plug a USB keyboard into the USB port? (Tips below apply to Alpha and Primer)
A: You'll need an OTG adapter to connect a USB keyboard or mouse to the Alpha. The OTG cable sold in our store is the only one we can guarantee compatibility with. We've connected a USB hub with keyboard, mouse and memory stick. You may also connect other devices like Bluetooth receivers, but may require an app to manage the device. Q: When setting up my email, why is it asking for an exchange server? (Tips below apply to Alpha and Primer)
A: Access your app library via the icon with 16 small squares. Click on the Email app and enter your login info. Some providers may require you to manually setup your email via POP or IMAP servers. Please see your provider for setup details.
Q: The weather widget shows the incorrect city, is this tablet used?
A: No, the weather widget defaults to Los Angeles since that’s where we’re based. To correct the zip code, please press and hold the widget unit you see a trashcan on the screen to drag the widget to delete. Then go Menu>Add>Widget>Weather Widget. Once added, you can enter your zip code.
