Pride is a program designed to help students sharpen their skills, complete work from other classes, prepare for tests, and graduate from high school.

1. Your planner is an extremely important part of this class. It must be filled out correctly each day. Write out what classes you have and what you did in that class each day. Put your planner in the basket on my desk at the beginning of class so I can check it. You will receive 5 points per day for completing your planner correctly and turning it in. You will receive a 0 for not turning it in. You will receive a 0 when in ISS and 2 points if you are absent.

2. You must bring all your assignments to class each day to work on. Don’t walk into the room with nothing in your hands.

3. Classroom teachers will be contacted regularly to track your progress and keep track of missing assignments.

4. Class disturbances, misbehaviors, disruptions, and insubordination will not be tolerated. If you cannot act appropriately, you will be removed from this class.

5. You must complete all assignments. NO EXCUSES.

6. You must work everyday. Taking this class is a privilege and a chance for you to make better grades and graduate from high school. Don’t risk being dropped for being uncooperative.

7. Several stations will be set up for you to work on when you don’t have any homework. These are used to sharpen your skills. You are expected to turn in a minimum of two assignments from these stations per week unless I have an alternative assignment for you. You will receive 25 pts. per week for using your time wisely, such as, working on the stations or bringing in work from another class to keep you busy. You may use this time to study, read a book, work on homework, or you will have to work on the stations provided.

8. On certain Friday’s, you will be required to complete an activity that will be graded. This will be a holiday poem, writing assignment, current event, or another teacher generated activity. Also journals are required one to two times a week.
