Meeting Minutes: May 2, 2006

Called meeting to order at 10:12AM
Feedback from Dr. Johnson:
Presentation:
- One person felt the background in the presentation was short
- Brian V. stumbled around for awhile, but found his bearing and did fine.
- Be sure to cover added reliability of dual charger, seems to grab Dave’s attention
- Maintenance costs still see low, but key is to evaluate added maintenance costs, and not worry about IP numbers
- Mitch said and a lot while presenting
- Also, Dave looking for standard capacitor bank, look into that…
- Momentary load is all Dave is really looking for?
- Discussed operations of fuel cells
Paper:
- Break the time schedule into smaller portions
- With the conclusion, summarize main points
o Summarize main points about reliability
o Summarize main findings with alternatives
- Executive summary needs to discuss finding reliability numbers
Weeks Objectives:
- Finish proposal (All)
- Contact Dave
o Ask for specs for trip coil
o Is he mainly concerned with momentary load?
- Contact Don Blackheader about ucaps
- Document project progress for next semester
Assessment of the Meeting:
Dr. Johnson seemed to be pleased with the progress made at the presentation with Dave. Dr. J made some recommendations on the paper, dealing with the actual structure of the paper. He also encouraged us to document our present findings to enable a fast start to the fall semester.
