Our client, a well established Investment Management Firm, is seeking a qualified candidate to join their Los Angeles Capital Markets group. This is a fast paced, hard charging team with excellent analytical thinkers.
The Capital Markets Group manages a full spectrum of leveraged finance products including high yield bonds, senior secured bank loans, and other fixed income investments. The professionals on this team come from investment banking and investment management backgrounds, and have experience in leveraged finance, structured finance and high yield and distressed debt markets.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Supporting a team of professionals in acquisitions and direct investments
· Managing senior secured bank loans, high yield bonds, and other fixed income investments in a variety of funds and investment vehicles
· Creating and analyzing capital structures for leveraged finance transactions across various industry sectors
· Monitoring asset backed securities transactions and conducting industry research
· Building and analyzing detailed complex financial models related to a broad range of transaction scenarios
· Assisting in all aspects of due diligence investigation and close of transactions
· Negotiating terms of debt investments including covenants between clients and investors
· Assisting in the preparation of rating agency and investor presentations
· Supporting the execution of securitization transactions.
The appropriate candidate MUST possess the following:
· Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from a top tier University with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
· 2 to 4 years prior sell side or buyside experience at a premiere firm
· Exposure to bank loan, fixed income, structured finance, and asset backed securities products necessary
· Superb financial modeling and Excel skills
· Solid exposure to transactions from Origination to close
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent analytical skills
· Well-rounded interpersonal skills
· Familiarity with Bloomberg and other portfolio management software preferred.
Our client is looking for candidates who are available to start immediately. They prefer local candidates or those already planning a move to Los Angeles. They will not relocate. Compensation is highly competitive base plus bonus and excellent benefits.
