Photo Story Directions

1. Find Pictures – must be jpeg format

Use http://www.google.com or any search engine (type your key

words and add the search term picture or image)

2. SAVING PICTS

click to enlarge

right click "Save As"

Choose your network drive (look for your username)

Select your pict. folder

Create a new folder, give a title

Give pict. a title

Save

Type of File: jpeg

3. Open Photo Story

4. Import all pictures

5. Add a title to each picture

6. Add narration and motion

7. Configure microphone (Make sure volume is turned up on computer and

Headset. ** If you get an error message, save your Photo Story, and then exit out of the program and get back in.)

8. Record your story using a headset

9. Preview (Check to make sure you didn’t make any mistakes and your project

meets all the requirements. – LOOK AT YOUR RUBRIC!!!)

10. Save Photo Story “Project” to YOUR Network Drive (**important step – if

you fail to do so, you won’t be able to go back and make any changes.)

11. Save Final Photo Story as a WMA (Windows Media Player) file to YOUR

network drive and your teacher’s hand-in or drop folder.

Directions:

Click NEXT UNTIL YOU ARE AT THE MENU THAT SAYS….

Highlight – “Save your story for playback on your computer”

Click - Browse

Select - My Computer

Highlight – YOUR USER NAME

Select - YOUR USER NAME

Select - a file (You may want to create a new file)

***Click - NEXT and it will say “Creating Your Photo Story” – Important Step!! It won’t mix the audio and video together to build your story.

(You will also get a message that says “Your story has been created successfully!”)

FINAL STEP - Saving to your Teacher’s Folder

After You Save to YOUR NETWORK FOLDER you will also need to save to Your Teacher’s Folder on the Student L:// drive

Highlight - Save your story for playback on your computer

Click - Browse

Select - My Computer

Highlight – STUDENTS ON SPHS L:// drive

Select – YOUR TEACHER’S folder

Select – YOUR CLASS folder

Click - NEXT and it will say “Creating Your Photo Story”

(You will also get a message that says “Your story has been created successfully!”)

Tip – Check to make sure it saved properly – it should NOT say “0” Kilobytes
