Executive Board Meeting

In Attendance: Reagan Bitler, Lorraine Haggard, Claudia Hill, Mariellen Hittner, Sue Myer, Sue Pekala, and Jane Reed; Absent Susan Zanella and Suzie Nonn

I. Financial Status of PAGS

· Savings Account: $2248.55

· Checking Account: $6968.15

II. Budget: (see attached budget)

· 2018 rental for the building at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center for the gourd gathering will go up 5%. Reagan suggested increasing our budget by 2.5% this year so that we won’t be drastically hit in 2018.

· Insurance premiums also went up

· Income to gourd society comes through vendors, classes, and silent auction at the gathering and membership throughout the year

· Budget approved as listed; 1st by Lorraine, 2nd by Sue

III. Document disposal – It was decided to dispose of documents accrued from 2003 to 2011

IV. Banking – banking address must match the Treasurer’s address

V. Regarding guest artisan: Section in the bi-laws that states the board will allow a guest artisan once a year outside of the gathering

VII. Calendar:

· March 18th: Meeting, Location: Smucker’s (not confirmed)

· April 1st – gathering classes go live

· April 15th – Harvest (not confirmed); production of example gourds for the farm show

· May 20th – Workshop 3 gourd rim treatments, location and instructor(s) TBA

· June 15th – 17th Gourd gathering – June 14th set-up

· July 15th – Workshop at Levi and Linda’s – stacked gourds by Suzi Nonn (not confirmed)

· August 19th – Meeting at Levi and Linda

· September 16th – Workshop in the Poconos – creative bases

· October 16th – Meeting at Henry Beiler

· November 11th – holiday dinner
