Biographical Information

Adam Bump – Adam resides in Owosso, Michigan and is the Regional Wildlife Biologist for the Ruffed Grouse Society. His territory includes Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. He has a B.S. in Wildlife Management from Michigan State University and a M.S. in Wildlife Conservation from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Adam has experience working with the U.S.D.A Forest Service and the DNR on a variety of land management issues and has attended many national and state forest planning and compartment reviews.

Nelson J. Cannon – Jerry is the Kalkaska County Sheriff and has served on the ORV Board since 1993. He is the chairman of the Michigan Sheriff Association’s subcommittee on recreation law enforcement. (ORV, snowmobile, and marine safety) and has made significant contributions to the ORV program.

John Ford –John resides in Ceresco, Michigan and is the current State Wide Vice President of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC). He retired from the Kellogg Company in 1989 after 38 years. John is a certified Polaris ATV safety instructor and has rode ATVs at Silver Lake State Park and on the designated ORV trail system. John is also a member of the Kellogg Sportsman’s Club and served as Director of District #3 MUCC for four years.

Errol Lee – Errol resides in Boyne Falls, Michigan and is a retired construction pipe fitter from the Lansing area after 28 years. He is an avid hunter and fisherman. Errol has assisted the Gaylord District Foresters and has attended forest compartment reviews over the past 5 years. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Traverse Bay Chapter for the Michigan Wild Turkey Hunters Association and is also Chairman of the Melrose Township Zoning Board of Appeals and Chairman of the Melrose Township Road Committee.

Glenn F. Moll – Glenn resides in Newberry, Michigan and has been involved in motorized recreation with his family for many years. He is also an avid bicyclist and cross-country skier. Glen is a member of the Cycle Conservation Club (CCC) of Michigan and the Tahquamenon Motorcycle Club in Newberry, and has been a volunteer in the trail maintenance program and he also helped to construct the Newberry to Brevort motorcycle trail. Glen also served on the U.P. ORV Task Force and has been involved with a host of other activities. He currently works for Mead Paper and will retire early next year.

Dick Ranney – Dick is from National City, Michigan and served four two year terms as an American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Congressman and is past president of the AMA District 14. District 14 is the largest AMA District in the nation with approximately 4500 members. He also currently serves on the Mounds Advisory Committee. Dick and his family have been involved in off-road motorcycling since 1956 and have competed in enduros, ice races, dirt track, and hare scrambles. He retired from General Motors after thirty-one years. Dick currently owns a small excavating company with his sons and he semi-retired in April 2002.

Richard Rondeau – Richard resides in Dearborn, Michigan and is president of the Michigan All-Terrain Vehicle Association (MATVA). He has served on the board since 2000 and is a certified ATV safety instructor. Richard is an ATV sales representative at an ORV dealership in southeast Michigan.
