News Release Incident: Motor Vehicle Crash

On Monday August 21, 2017 at approximately 11:58 pm the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to the Black Horse Pike in the area of Bayport Dr., in the West Atlantic City section of the township, for a pedestrian motor vehicle crash.
A 2017 Kia Forte operated by Adrienne Longcrier, 26 years of age from Ventnor, was traveling east on the Black Horse Pike when she encountered two pedestrians in the roadway. One pedestrian was struck by the Kia after a near miss by another vehicle. The pedestrian, Christopher Hayek (46 years old from Tuckerton) suffered serious injuries.
Hayek was treated at the scene by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Campus and is currently in critical condition. The West Atlantic City Volunteer Fire Company assisted at the scene of the crash as well as Atlanticare Paramedics and Tri-Care EMS.
Traffic was detoured for approximately 2 hours while the crash was being investigated and cleared. The crash is being investigated by Officers Patrick Daly and Thomas Rocco of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
