RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR INTERMENT

1. The Muslim Cemetery of Lawrenceville is the sole property of Georgia Islamic Institute of Religious and Social Sciences (GIIRSS), 177 Simonton Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Following rules and regulations must be agreed upon and strictly observed at all times to comply with Islamic, local and state laws.

2. GIIRSS shall own and maintain the Cemetery and individual interment lots in accordance with the conditions set forth by the Gwinnett County Special Use Permit.

3. GIIRSS shall, upon application on prescribed form and payment of interment dues, allocate cemetery lot number and authorize interment.

4. All interment shall take place strictly between the hours of 9AM and 5 PM. Washed and prepared body from the funeral home must be received at the cemetery no later than 4 P.M. to be buried the same day. County agreement strictly prohibits any disturbance to the neighborhood outside this time frame.

5. A wooden casket shall be used for interment. An inverted rectangular lidless polypropylene vault (“Vantage”) shall be placed over the wooden casket before back filling grave. These caskets are to be provided by GIIRS and Funeral Home per county rules and requirements.

6. Top of all graves shall be flat and sodden with grass. Grass shall be maintained by GIIRSS.

7. All graves shall be marked with a standardized stone marker, flush with the ground, engraved with the name and date of birth and death of deceased. Only C&H Memorials is authorized to provide this marker.

8. Monuments, permanent decorations of any kind, plants and shrubs are not permitted by Gwinnett County.

9. Group assembly, other than funeral services (Janaza Prayer), are prohibited.

10. Idling, loafing, loitering, boisterous and loud demonstrations are forbidden. Pictures taking and/or video taping of any kind during interment is strictly prohibited.

11. Children under the age of 15 years must be accompanied by adults.

12. Carrying or consumption of food and drinks in the burial area is prohibited.

13. No pets are allowed in the Cemetery.

14. Cemetery will remain open for family/friends/visitors after Juma Prayers till 5 PM. Out-of-town visitors may contact GIIRSS for permission to visit at other times. Forced entry to the cemetery is prohibited.

15. GIIRSS shall not be responsible for any damage or loss to property or person while on the Cemetery premises and reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.

I have read, agreed and promise to comply with above Rules and Regulations for Interment at all times. I further promise to comply with any future rules and regulations, which may be set forth by GIIRS or any governmental agencies.
