MARYSVILLE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship of the Marysville Education Association will be given each year to a
graduating senior who plans to become a teacher and can provide evidence that he or she is
definitely interested in teaching.
Applicants will be considered on the following qualities: academic promise, character
(cooperation, maturity, sense of responsibility, loyalty), citizenship, and emotional and physical
stability. The need of the students will be considered as minimal.
The amount of the scholarship will be $200 and will be given during the freshman year in
college. The money will be deposited with the director of financial aid of the college of the
student's choice and credited to the student's fee or tuition at the rate of $100 per semester.
The student may attend any accredited college where his or her work will lead to a
degree in education.
Applicants must apply to the scholarship committee by filling out forms provided by the
association. The applicants may be called for personal interviews.
