Golden Sun

Part A

Opening

Stand straight with feet together, hands down at your side facing your thighs. Breathe in, gather the energy, raise your palms and bring them together above your head, arms straight.

Breathe out and bring the light down slowly to your crown centre. Breathe in and hold for a moment. Imagine you are opening the petals of a lotus flower as you breathe in at each charka.

Breathe out as you slowly bring the light down to your third eye. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out as you bring the light down to your throat centre. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out as you bring the light down to your heart centre. Hold it there for a few breaths as you allow your heart to open. Breathe in, breathe out as you bow in appreciation to your teacher and the universe or your God. Breathe in as you rise back up.

Breathe out and as you bring the light down to your solar plexus, slightly opening your palms. Fingertips remain together. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out and bring the light down to your naval point. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out and bring the light down to your base centre. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out open your arms with palms facing the floor on either side of your thighs.

Slide left leg to open your stance into horse riding stance, bend your knees slightly.

Hold the Golden Sun

Lift your arms up to your dantien point to hold the Golden Sun with hands facing each other and fingers spread apart. Imagine you are holding a ball of Golden Sun that fills the space between your arms and hands. Keep your arms out away from your body to allow the chi to flow. As you breathe in, feel the Golden Sun expand. As you breathe out, feel it contract. Repeat this in a slow steady movement 8 more times.

Churn the Golden Sun

Now bring the Golden Sun up to your head as you breath in. Bend your elbows back and bring it back down through your head and body imagining that it reaches all the way down to your toes breathing out as you bring it down. Feel the warmth of the Golden Sun on your body and internal organs as it moves through you. This is called churning. Repeat this churning 5 more times.

Look to the Sun

As you raise your arms above your head, breathe slowly in. Turn palms out, keeping your back straight and hold your breath for 3 counts. Feel the warmth of the Sun as you gather its energy.

Bring the Golden Sun down as you slowly breathe out. Bend your knees as you bring the Golden Sun down around your ankles and back up behind you, palms facing your kidney area. Straighten your legs, eyes looking toward your navel point, and hold for a count of 3. Feel the warmth of the Golden Sun on your kidneys and lower back.

Bend your knees and slowly bring the Golden Sun down around your ankles and back up in front of you above your head as you breathe in. Repeat this series 5 more times. This is called Looking to the Sun.

Churn the Golden Sun

Now churn again. Bring the Golden Sun up to your head as you breath in. Bend your elbows back and bring it back down through your head and body imagining that it reaches all the way down to your toes breathing out as you bring it down. Feel the warmth of the Golden Sun on your body and internal organs as it moves down through you. Repeat this churning 5 more times.

Gaze Upon a Star

This time slowly breathe in and slowly raise your arms straight above your head, palms facing out. Keep your head looking forward and raise only your eyes to look toward your third eye. Slowly, keeping your mind focused on your dantien point, raise your heels off the floor and stand on the balls of your feet.

Slowly breathe out, lower your heels back onto the floor, bring the Golden Sun down, palms facing each other, bend your knees as you bring it down around your ankles and back up behind to your kidney area. Keep your legs bent, eyes looking toward your naval point and hold your breath for a count of 3.

Slowly bring the Golden Sun down around your ankles and back up in front of you again lifting your arms straight above your head. Repeat 5 more times. This is called Gaze Upon a Star.

Churn the Golden Sun

Churn again 6 times. Bring the Golden Sun up to your head as you breath in. Bend your elbows back and while breathing out bring it back down through your

head and body imagining that it reaches all the way down to your toes. Feel the warmth of the Golden Sun on your body and internal organs as it moves down through you. Repeat 5 more times.

Spread Angel Wings

After the 6th churn, bring your fingertips together, palms facing up, and slowly raise your arms to shoulder level as you breath in and lift your heels off the ground and stand on the balls of your feet. Keep your shoulders relaxed, don’t lift them.

Slowly breathe out and bring your arms back down, fingertips touching and lower your heels back onto the floor. This is called Spreading Angel Wings. You are opening up your side meridians. Repeat as a continuous movement 5 more times.

Curl Angel Wings

This time as your raise your arms extend them all the way above your head with the backs of your hands touching. Continue to breathe in when lifting your arms and raising your heels off the floor. Breathe out when bringing your arms back down and lowering your heels back onto the floor. Remember to keep your shoulders relaxed, don’t lift them up around your neck. This is called Curling Angel Wings. You are actually cleansing and smoothing your auric field. Repeat as a continuous movement 5 more times.

Hold The Golden Sun and Golden Rain

As you bring your fingertips together form an open or closed triangle with your hands and slowly, as you breathe in, raise this triangle above your head and open your arms and hold the Golden Sun above your crown chakra. Remember to keep your shoulders relaxed and keep your heels on the ground. Breathe in and out naturally.

After 4 to 6 breaths, move your fingertips back and forth and imagine Golden Showers cleansing your auric field.

Breathe in, open your arms down to your shoulders, turn your palms down and breathe out as you bring your arms down around to the front. Form the triangle, and repeat the entire movement 2 additional times.

Healing Palms

This time raise the triangle to shoulder level and open your arms, palms facing the horizon. Imagine one beam of sunlight shining on the chakra in the middle of each palm healing it with its light. Breathe in and out naturally for 4 to 6 breaths.

Reach for the Stars

Extend and stretch your arms and fingers to reach for the stars. Feel the tingling in your fingers and hands. Breath naturally for 4 to 6 breaths.

Close

Breathe in and bring your palms together with arms straight above your head for the closing.

Breathe out and bring the light down slowly to your crown centre. Breathe in and hold for a moment. Imagine you are closing the petals of a lotus flower as you breathe in at each charka.

Breathe out as you slowly bring the light down to your third eye. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out as you bring the light down to your throat centre. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out as you bring the light down to your heart centre. Hold it there for a few breaths as you feel your heart. Breathe in and breathe out as you bow in appreciation to your teacher and the universe or your God. Breathe in as you rise back up.

Breathe out and as you bring the light down to your solar plexus, slightly open your palms. Fingertips remain together. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out and bring the light down to your naval point. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out and bring the light down to your base centre. Breathe in and hold for a moment.

Breathe out open your arms to hold the Golden Sun at your dantien point to nurture yourself for 6 to 8 breaths.

Golden Sun Part B

Tai Chi Circle A

Breathe in, bend to the left, right hand over head with palm facing down, left hand at dan tien, look to left big toe. Hold for count of 3.

Breathe out rising and extend arms out to side.

Breathe in, bend to the right, left hand over head with palm facing down, right hand at dan tien, look to right big toe. Hold for count of 3.

Breathe out rising and extend arms out to side.

Repeat 2 more times each side.

Tai Chi Circle B

Breathe in, turn waist to the left with left palm behind facing the ground and right palm facing upward over head looking toward right ankle. Hold for count of 3.

Breathe out turning back to the front and extend arms out to side.

Breathe in, turn waist to the right with right palm behind facing the ground and left palm facing upward over head looking toward left ankle. Hold for count of 3.

Breathe out turning back to the front and extend arms out to side.

Repeat 2 more times each side.

Shaft of Light

Breathe in, turn right foot to the right and face the right hand side and bend knee going into warrior pose. Right hand goes back behind with palm up at base centre. Left hand goes over crown chakra facing downward. Visualize holding shaft of light between palms running through the spine. Hold for count of 3.

Breathe out turning back to the front and extend arms out to side.

Breathe in, turn left foot to the left and face the left hand side, bend knee go into warrior pose. Left hand goes back behind with palm at base centre. Right hand goes over crown chakra facing downward. Visualize holding shaft of light between palms running through the spine. Hold for count of 3.

Breathe out turning back to the front and extend arms out to side.

Repeat 2 more times each side.

Tai Chi Circle C

Breathe in, right hand over crown chakra palm facing down and left hand at dan tien palm facing upward. Balancing the chakra. Hold for count of 3.

Breathe out bringing arms out to side and pushing out.

Breathe in, left hand over crown chakra, palm facing down and right hand at dan tien palm facing upward. Hold for count of 3.

Breathe out bringing arms out to side and pushing out.

Repeat 2 more times each side.

Bring arms down to dan tien and hold the golden sun for count of 3, feet together and bring arms up breathing in, bring energy down to dan tien, breathe in, breathing out push hands into dan tien. Hold for count of 3 or 6.
