How Can I Combat the Spirit of Witchcraft When I Have No Clue What It Is?

Part 2 February 19th & 20th

· Medium: necromancer; one who foretells events or gains information by conversing with spirits of the dead; conjurer. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Mediums claim to be able to reach between the veil of the spiritual and physical worlds. The profess abilities including attuning to the vibrations of the spiritual world, communicating messages from spirits on the Other Side and relaying those messages to people still in this earthly world. They act as a mediator or go-between for the spiritual and physical worlds. Some mediums believe they are able to use their intuitive mind or clairvoyance (clear seeing of the spiritual world), clairaudience (clear hearing of the spiritual world) or clairsentience (clear feeling of the spiritual world). Then we have the physical medium that avail their entire body for a spirit entity to occupy it. The bible clearly states in Leviticus 19:31 Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 20:6 & 20:27 “I will also turn against those who commit spiritual prostitution by putting their trust in mediums or in those who consult the spirits of the dead. I will cut them off from the community. Then it says “Men and women among you who act as mediums or who consult the spirits of the dead must be put to death by stoning. They are guilty of a capital offense.”

· Soothsaying: witchcraft; observing clouds for augury; foretelling future events with supernatural power but not divine power; interpreting dreams; revealing secrets. A person who claims to speak sooth: specifically one who predicts the future based upon personal, political, spiritual or religious beliefs rather than scientific facts. We have heard them called many things before, including Fortune Tellers (use Psychic Hotlines, Tarot Cards, Crystal Balls or Spheres and Palm Readings for personal purposes), Practitioners of Divination (Divining in an attempt to foresee or fortell future events through discovering hidden or secret knowledge of God’s plans and purposes), Oracles (An oracle is a person or persons considered to be the source of wise counsel or prophetic opinion; an infallible authority, usually spiritual in nature. 1 Peter 4:11 says If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.)

· An oracle is a person or persons considered to be the source of wise counsel or prophetic opinion; an infallible authority, usually spiritual in nature), Astrologers (practitioners of astrology-a group or system of traditions and beliefs around celestial bodies and related details geared to understanding and determining information about ones personalities, human affairs and terrestrial matters), Shamans (the ability to diagnose and cure human suffering and, in some societies, the ability to cause suffering. This is believed to be accomplished by traversing the axis mundi and forming a special relationship with, or gaining control over, spirits. Shamans have been credited with the ability to control the weather, divination, the interpretation of dreams, astral projection, and traveling to upper and lower worlds) and Prophets (In religion, a prophet (or prophetess) is a person who has directly encountered the numinous and serves as an intermediary with man for the divine.) The bible speaks of the major prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel), minor prophets (Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zachariah and Malachi) and prophetess (Huldah, Miriam, Deborah, Anna and Phillip had 4 daughters which did prophecy .

· Sorcerer: magician; conjurer; enchanter; one who practices magic arts, sorcery, charms, with an intent to do harm or to delude or pervert the mind; one who claims to have supernatural power or knowledge through (evil) spirits. Revelation 21:8 & 22:15 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Then it says “For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”
