Give 2 Grow is a community-wide giving challenge designed to raise dollars, as well as awareness, for local nonprofit organizations. The Phelps County Community Foundation and other donors have committed cash gifts to a matching pool of funds which will provide an incentive gift to every contribution received on November 20th.
Here are the facts:
Ø Give 2 Grow is a 24 hour, online day of giving that will be held on Thursday, November 20 from 12:01 a.m. until midnight.
Any local nonprofit organization is welcome to participate - the only requirement is that you create your organization's information page on the Phelps County Community Foundation's give2Grow website at: give2grow.razoo.com.
Your organization's information page will remain throughout the year - at no cost to you.
Ø Match Pool - The Phelps County Community Foundation Board of Directors and other donors have committed over $130,000 in a stretch/match pool that will be used as a match to donations received.
How will the “stretch pool” work for Give 2 Grow?
Donations received during the 24-hour Give 2 Grow campaign will be eligible to receive matching funds. Depending on the amount of money raised during the day, each organization will receive a pro-rated share of the incentive pool. Example: If $390,000 is raised and the stretch pool of funds is $130,000, each organization will receive 33.33% more than the amount they raised. If an organization raises $60,000 they will receive approximately $20,000 extra from the incentive pool of funds.
1. Grant Challenge - Grant Challenge - In addition to the match pool, there will be opportunities for organizations to compete for "bonus grants". The top three (3) nonprofits, with the most donors*, will receive a bonus of $200 each. Seven (7) random donors will be selected throughout the day and will have a BD of Holdrege $200 bonus donation made, in their name, to the non-profit they supported. The non-profit to receive the most online gifts (gifts brought in to the Foundation office do not qualify) will receive a $500 bonus. *a donor giving to the same organization twice would only be counted as one donor
Ø Cost for organizations - The Foundation has chosen to partner with online servicing agent, Razoo, and has negotiated a processing fee of 4.9% that will be applied by Razoo to each donation received. This is the only cost associated with your participation in Give 2 Grow. There will be no fee assessed on the bonus grant or the matching pool grant.
Ø Promotion – The Phelps County Community Foundation has public releases of information planned beginning in September about the give2Grow initiative. PCCF will use various media - newspaper, radio, Facebook, email blasts, and the Holdrege Chamber of Commerce to bring general public awareness of this opportunity. It will be up to the individual organizations to promote giving to their own cause.

§ Reduce fundraising costs. Raising $1 online through Give 2 Grow costs 4.9 cents, as opposed to 20 cents for grant writing or up to $1.25 to acquire new donors through direct mail.

§ Grow philanthropy in Phelps County– bring new donors to our nonprofit organizations
§ Grow supporters – educate the people in our county on the positive impact on their lives because of Phelps County’s nonprofit organizations.
