Order of the Arrow is doing a special Arrow of Light Ceremony for our Webelos that will be moving to Boy Scouts next month. Be sure to bring in crafts that you cubs did this month for the display table. Meeting starts promptly at 7!
Scout ASU Basketball
Saturday, January 5
Join ASU Men's Basketball as they take on OREGONSTATE at Wells Fargo Arena on Saturday, January 5, 2008 for an action packed game! Scouts and Families receive special Scouting discount. All Scouts in attendance receive ASU Scouting Patch. For details visit the Grand Canyon Council web site.

The theme is Olympics Biathlon
With luck there will be some snow on the ground which will add some additional challenge to the fun. The cost is $5 per person. A sign-up flyer is available on the SRD Website. A packet will be available on the website soon. Webelos I’s and II’s are invited to go.

Scouting for Food
It’s coming. Scouting’s national Good Deed Month and Scouting for Food is the National BSA effort to restock the cupboards of the food agencies after the holidays have nearly depleted them. Scout your area and participate in this important community service event. We will be meeting at the school at 8 am to get our bags and neighborhood assignments

A potluck dinner is being set up. Sign up for what you will bring at your next den meeting. There will be a Cub Scout Cake silent auction and your cub will be getting his Rank award is a special ceremony. It will start at a special time of 6 pm.
FOS – Friends of Scouting
New YearsResolution . . . assign an FOS Coordinator for the unit. The key not only to success, but also to making this task as easy as possible is to get someone in the unit to get this task done. For 2008 we want to target the Scouting Month of February to get this done. So assign someone at your next committee meeting and then have them be watching for all the helps that we will be creating for them on the District Web Site and at Roundtable.
