Officer’s Tunic Jacket (based on Home Office specification B1)

Material: To BS 1771-1: 1989

420gms / 14 oz. 55% terylene + 45% wool, Alfred Brown 131 or equivalent.

Colour: Black

Style: Infantry Officer’s single-breasted service dress jacket.

Centre seam and vent back. Belt all round finished with chrome prong buckle and worked eyelets.

Fastenings: Buttons, 4 large (38 ligne), 6 small (26 ligne). Chromium Plated. Supplied by GMF&RS

Facings: Square Gorge

Collar: Step

Sleeves: 2 small chromium-plated buttons, 26 ligne at hind arm seam.

Pockets: 2 out breast pleated patch; 3 point flap, hole and button, press studs

to be provided to ensure that flaps lay flat.

2 bellows pockets, straight flap, hole and button. One jetted ticket pocket 9 cm x 8 cm right forepart, midway between the out breast and bellows pockets. Inside breast pockets.

Shoulder 7cm wide at base; 4cm near top to cover shoulder seams. Cut with

Style: Zip fly. 2 hook and bar fastenings spaced 7 cm apart onto waist band extension. Shirt grip on waistband. Belt loops. Single pleat. Plain bottoms (invisible hem).

Linings: All linings to be to BS4560: 1990

Pockets: Two slant side pockets, one hip pocket with loop and button fastening.

Finish: Plain seams. Seat seam triple lock machined. Plain bottom, 1 ? inch inside turn up. Turned-in band lining, machined. Re-inforced at turn in. Sewing threads and seams to BS EN 12590:2000 / BS 7318:1990

Sizing: Waist: 32” – 42”, Inside leg lengths: 29”, 31” & 33”. See attached size chart. (Occasional special measures and standard sizes outside this range will be required).

Style: 3 button, single breasted with two side vents 6 ? ins. long (16.5 cms).

Fastenings: Buttons, 3 large (38 ligne) chromium plated. Bottom button hole to be level with top of pocket flap. Buttons supplied by GMF&RS

Collar and Collar to have a 1 ? ins. (4.5 cms) stand and a 1 5/8 ins. (4 cms) fall.

Lapel: Lapel width 3 ? ins. (9 cms). No button hole.

Sleeves: Plain with 2 ins. (5 cms) deep upturn, without cuff vents and fitted with two plugged chromium plated buttons (26 ligne).

Pockets: Two jetted pockets 6 ? ins. (16.5 cms) in length with flaps 2 ? ins (6 cms) deep. Two inside breast pockets.

Colour: Black (shade to match with Control Operator’s jacket)

Style: Two piece, four darts ?” (1? cm) X 3?” (9 cm) at the back, 2 at front 4?” (10? cm) deep, straight style.

Lining: Black viscose rayon (dye fast) or to BS4560:1990, through to within 1” of bottom of skirt.

Waist Band: 1 ?” (3 cms) self material, fused bonded interlining, with 2” (5cm) overlap to accommodate 2nd button fastening.

Pockets: None

Fastening: 8” (20 ? cms) side zip fastener, with 2 buttons and button holes
