Fun Games to Play to get People to Book Shows
OBJECT: to encourage the guest who is hesitant about booking a show to make a YES Decision.
These are several different ways to play, but the reasoning is that you are offering the guests a prize to take a chance at booking a show. This is a great way to begin if you are really new in the business or are afraid to ask people to book shows.
PICK OR PASS
Rules & Items Needed:
- Basket decorated for what holiday we are in. Christmas, Halloween, Etc.
- Twelve decorated boxes. In each box you have a note that says “Receive a Gift” or “Book a Show & Receive a Gift”
- In the Basket have inexpensive gifts that the guest can choose from when they pick a box.
- At the beginning of the game you would say. We are going to play a little game to help Susie get her bookings. Inside the Boxes Susie is holding there are little notes they either say “Receive a Gift” or “Book a Show & Receive a Gift”. If you are dead set against hosting a show, please choose to PASS. We are all here to have fun.
- This works best when your hostess is holding the basket because the guests do not feel as though YOU are pressuring them.
BOOK TO LOOK
At the beginning of the Show pass out a catalog, and an envelop to each guest.

Clearly state the rules off the game to your guests. You could say something like this, “At the beginning of the show I handed each of you an envelop I told you not to open the envelop. The rules for this are, If you open the envelop you will get whatever gift is inside, as an added bonus when you open this envelop you also are agreeing to host a show.”
Than tell them some of the items that are in each envelop. Make sure there is at least one BIG MONEY Gift. If they choose not to open the envelop have then give the envelop back to you when they place their order.
