Subject: 2016-2017 Scholarship Application
Attached please find a copy of the 2016-2017 Fort Worth/Tarrant County Aggie Moms’ Club Scholarship Application. We are pleased to offer scholarship opportunities to students who will be enrolled as full-time students at Texas A&M University during the 2016-2017 school year. Recipients will receive a $1000.00 scholarship, applied to university tuition in equal amounts for the Fall 2016 ($500.00) and Spring 2017 ($500.00) semesters.
Applications must meet the following criteria:
1. Be full-time undergraduate students at Texas A&M during the 2016-2017 school year;
2. Reside in Tarrant County or an adjacent county that is not represented by an A&M Mothers’ Club; current university undergraduate students must maintain their permanent address in Tarrant County;
3. Meet the following academic requirements established by Texas A&M University:
o Complete at least 18 hours during the 2016-2017 academic year (Fall/Spring)
o Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA/GPR
o Remain in Good Standing with the University at the time of disbursement of scholarship funds, i.e., may not be on conduct or academic probation
4. May not have a relative serving on the Scholarship Committee;
5. Must submit a complete Scholarship Application on or before the posted deadline;
6. Must submit an official transcript noting grades and GPA/GPR, and if applicable, class rank, for all classes/courses completed through the Fall 2015 semester. The school’s official seal must appear on the transcript. Xeroxed copies will not be accepted;
7. Must include two (2) letters of recommendation: one from an individual who knows the applicant in the school-setting (i.e., professor, teacher, advisor, counselor, etc.) AND one from an individual who knows the applicant in a community or work setting;
8. Scholarships are not renewable; to be considered for a scholarship, a new application must be submitted each year.
