Finding Forrester Essay
Assignment:
Your assignment is to write a film review of Finding Forrester. Whether you give the movie a positive or negative review is entirely up to you. However, your review must demonstrate both sound logic and a clear understanding of the film’s plot and themes. In other words, you have to be specific in your explanation of why the film is good, bad, or somewhere in between.

/ ScoreLength and Format: The essay is typed, double spaced, handed in with this scoring sheet, and at least 5 paragraphs long. The essay also has a title and follows the required heading information described in the course syllabus.
Introduction and Conclusion: The essay contains an engaging introduction that grabs the reader's attention and lets the reader know whether or not this will be a positive or negative review (thesis). The conclusion brings the essay to a close and includes a recommendation for the reader to see/not see the movie.
Paragraphing: The essay includes four coherent body paragraphs, each of which has a clear topic sentence and enough additional sentences to adequately support the topic sentence. The first of these paragraphs should be a concise plot summary of the film.
Analysis: The essay shows a good understanding of the movie’s plot and themes. It goes beyond just telling what happened in the movie.
Grammar and Punctuation: The essay follows the rules and conventions of Standard American English grammar and punctuation.
