On a separate sheet of paper, please p rovide a correct Works Cited page for the following materials. All answers should be based on the information contained in your text, and you intend to use all of this.

1) In the January 12, 1986 issue of Time, David Carr wrote an article “Roy Rogers Lives

on the Range.” He quotes Roy as saying, “Gee, David, I always thought of my horse, Trigger, as a buddy.” The article was on pages 22-25. Your chosen quotation was on p. 25.

2) In the same issue and article as above, Carr wrote, “When I asked Roy about his horse, he instinctively tilted his hat forward and looked at me suspiciously.” P. 24. You also use that statement.

3) On June 4, 1997, Bill Dodd visited a Web page that had been created on April 15, 1992. The site was called Pat Robertson: The Man—The Myth. The page with the cool article was titled “Tax Fraud and Pat Robertson.” The author, Sid Pollack, wrote, Pat is a rich man with a Yale law degree; he doesn’t have to be honest.” The URL was <.com/ManMyth.htm>.

4) You find an apt sentence written by Henry David Thoreau on page 228 of The Norton Anthology of American Literature. This is the third edition and the editors are Mary Allbrite, and David Solomon. This was published in 1974 by Norton Company in New York. The short piece is from Walden, which is contained on pages 220 through 249. Thoreau writes, “Most men live lives of quiet desperation.”

5) In the December 10, 1998 issue of the Springfield News-Leader, you read an article about an English teacher, Randy Francka, who has been awarded a plaque and fifty dollars for producing the first gallstone made entirely of magnesium. His response to the reporter, John Glenn, was, “Thank you. Thank you very much.” These words (from page A15) you wisely quoted. The title was Gallstone Miracle.

6) Romans eight, verse 28 reads, “All things work together for good to them that love the Lord.” You use the Authorized King James Bible, edited by Pearson, William and published in 2010 by the American Bible Company, Inc. from New York.

7) A site titled MLA On-line Handbook at <OnlineHandbook.com> instructs the reader to “Always put the title of the book in italics or underline it.” You visited the site on November 21, 2010. It was created on March 10, 2009. This information you included in your essay.

8) On February 28, 2001 you watched The Twilight Zone on channel 20, the local CBS affiliate. Rod Serling, producer and director says, “We really screwed this one up,” and you want to use that in your paper, “Twilight Zone Bloopers.” The show was first aired on CBS in May 1965.

9) You quote your American Literature professor, Mark Smith, Ph.D., who said, “Three more weeks and we’re out of here!” This was remarked at St. Stanislaus College, located in Oxford, Pennsylvania, on April 21, 2009.

10) You find in the dumpster several pieces of paper that appear to have been torn from an old book entitled Good Will, published December 1921 by Penguin Publishers of New London, Ontario. Page 88 has this sentence: “Now is the time for all men to come to the aid of their country,” said the president. You want to quote that in your paper.
