Cumulative Illness Rating Scale

Cumulative Illness Rating Scale

Description: Medical comorbidity, that is, the burden of medical illness, may itself impair functional status or exacerbate frailty and contribute to disability. The cumulative illness rating scale as initially developed required performing a physical examination and review of the patient’s medical record. A more user friendly scoring method has been validated, with data collected using a simple interview.
