The Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certificate can add value to your Engineering/CSE, CIS, IT and other 2- or 4-year degree. Networking knowledge is one key addition that you can add to your degree and increase your salary and employability. The figure below shows the Indeed.com average salaries (as of 2011) available to those with a basic networking title and those who are Cisco certified with associate level certifications. It is obvious from this survey that the achievement of a Cisco certification can be quite useful in requesting higher level of compensation.

Consider the Cisco’CCNA Certification!

NAU’s CEFNS and Ron McFarland, Ph.D. are presenting an introductory session to the CCNA Certification offered to you through Coconino Community College next year. The CCNA certification courses involve an in-depth 16 semester credit hours taken in a 9-month period (Four 4-credit hour courses offered in sequence) at CCC’s Fourth Street Campus on Monday and Wednesday evenings next year (Fall, 2014 and Spring, 2015 semesters).
