Hi Don,

It was great seeing you again and talking with you. You and the others did a terrific job putting together the reunion. I am sure everyone appreciates it. This class had a large number great students who have proven to add to the welfare of this country. I appreciate having had the opportunity to see and talk to them again, and also the faculty members.

I remember that after my own high school 40th reunion, I was on a high for a whole week. Seeing old friends I grew up with since elementary school days brought back many nice memories that can last a lifetime.

Don,

Char and I had a great time at the reunion. It brought back some

great memories. Thanks for helping put it together. It was a nice bonus to

see some of your family.

Take care,

Bruce Bartels

The reunion turned out great, the room and decorations were very well done

(you are right Diane, you, Karen and Barbara did a beautiful job, the

"Balloon Lady" could not have done better). Our DJ did a great job, Don's

brother got a lot of good pictures. Dennis, Don and Sandi handled

announcements. I really thought the displays were cool, there were a lot of

things to look at, I saw people gathered around the tables all evening. You

guys that manned the sign-in table did a whole lot of work, sorry I did not

help there, I intended to, but kept getting side tracked.

We got lots of compliments, lots of "this is best reunion so far".

The Friday night ice-breaker was attended by about 30 people, there were at

least 6 people (as I remember) that came Friday and not the reunion dinner,

they are Bill Dawson, Julie Jennings, Sandy Johnson, John Nix, Sharon Salem

and Loretta Stack. (Also Marc Thorpe and Margie Carlson Rogers- dg)

Sunday picnic was attended by 25 people, including 2 faculty members, Joe

Yee and Ray Pargett - Frank did a great job on the picnic.

I had not checked the website in some time and was sorry to see I missed the reunion (again!) Actually I was in Sacramento that weekend on my way back from Susanville after a week of fishing which I would not have canceled anyway! But maybe I'll make the next one. Hope all had a good time. My contact information is below for future reference.

Hi Dennis,

I had a great time at the reunion.........( it was like being on the Oprah show and she brought out lots of old friends and teachers to suprize us................so fun!!)..I was so "wired" when I got back to my Mom's that I couldn't get to sleep for a long time. I kept playing back the events of the evening over and over. I was tired on Sunday and needed a nap ( gee you would think I'm 80). Glad the picnic was fun, though small............you guys have more energy than I do, after a late night.

Thanks for all your hard work on the reunion...........it really paid off. I think everyone had a great time.............it just went by too fast.

Take care and make sure you RELAX!!

Your friend,

Susan

Hi Myrna,

It still amazes me to think that I just went to my "40-year" Class Reunion (could we have really have graduated that long ago?). Of course the whole evening

went by much too quickly, as it seems like those things seem to do. I always wish after that I had talked to one more person or asked one more question.

But I just wanted to let you know what a super job you did organizing the Reunion. Willow Park was a great choice -much more relaxing than at the formal

restaurant, and the food was great. I enjoyed visiting with so many old friends from both high school and the old Village school days. Also glad to join the little group that met at O'Brien's afterward. That was alot of fun too.

Thanks so much for your time and effort in putting together a great party!

Best to you,

Joni Lawson

Hi Dennis,
Just wanted to let you know what a great time I had at the Reunion. The committee did a super job of organizing it and couldn't have picked a better place. I enjoyed seeing all my old friends from both San Lorenzo and Village school days. Too bad it is always over so fast. . there's always one more person you wished you'd had time to talk to.
Look forward to seeing the pix.
Take care and thanks again for all your work,
Joni

Jim DeCosta

Hi Dennis and all my classmates,

Wow, Deb and I had a great time. Everyone was simply fabulous, the class of 64 is sure a well preserved and positive group. My only regret was that we didn’t have more time to sit down and share with more people, I had no idea that I was so interested in so many people that I hadn’t given a second thought to in such a long time. For that I am ashamed, but obviously you all made a lasting impression on my spirit as it sang a most joyful song as each of you paraded in reach of my senses.

In one sense it was all just too much for me as every time I left the presence of one of you, a piece of me cried only to be met with joy at the next meeting. I wanted to hug you all, sit by a fire, share a glass of wine, toast to a job well done, share your sorrows and joys, dance with you, all the things I never had the courage to do when we were all together in the same place for four years. In one realization, spurred by a comment from Liz, I understood that my coming out (of my shell) late, did allow me to meet my wife of 30 years for if that would have happened at 14 and not 18, she surely would not have been at the reunion with me and my heart would not know the wonder of her or our two children and grandchild.

Truly love you all, Jim DeCosta

Dennis,

It was great and you did a wonderful job along with the others on the committee of organizing it. The food was delicious, decorations and memorabilia very nice, and I think everyone enjoyed it. The "photo shop" was a unique idea and great to be able to obtain candid photos rather than the one of the class or posed photos. It would have been nice to have a live oldies band, but I know that leads to much more expense. All in all, I enjoyed the reunion, visiting with you, and hope we will all be able to attend another in 5 years! Thanks for your help.

I think it was the best reunion ever. I really liked seeing all the pictures
old and new. Thanks Dennis for all your hard work. I thought Willow Park was a
great place to have the reunion.

Hi Dennis . . ,

I had a great time. It was so good to see everyone and talk about "old" times. The only negative I have is that more classmates didn't attend; which is no one’s fault except theirs. Next time, I'm going to try and contact some of my old neighbors and see if we can convince them to attend. I know it's hard to contact everyone and sometimes they just don't want to attend. But, as for me, it was great . . . . all the "stuff" on the memory tables brought back a lot of memories. It was also nice to have so many teachers attend.

Great job by the reunion committee . . you should all be commended!

Judy

Diane (Faria) Nelson

Regarding the reunion, I heard all good about it. Quite a few came up and wanted to let us know how much fun everyone had. I think by putting the party on ourselves gives it a personal touch, not just someone in charge of parties. Keep in touch.

Hi Don.

Just wanted to say that was a great re-union. Everyone was having such a good time! People were being so much more outgoing than I've ever encountered before. I only wish I would have gotten around to more people, some who I missed completely. I just had a blast. You and Myrna and whoever else helped really did it right! Thanks Don, you're a cool dude, and it was good to see your wife again! Tom

Marilyn (Crane) Morrish

The reunion was great! Many, many thanks to all of those who volunteered exhaustive hours to put it on. I reconnected with people i had grown up with and not seen in over 40 years and had a delightful time.

Hi Dennis,

We really had a great time at the reunion on Saturday night. Liked the memorabilia. Would have liked the background music to be more out of our time, though. Thanks to everyone who helped. Would like to help with the next reunion - so keep me in mind.

Thanks again,

Lorraine (Perreira) Dixon

Diana (Seward) Graves

Hi Dennis:

Yes, I attended the reunion last Sat.

I had found out about it by calling the High School. Then got Don Goard's

E-mail address. I was disappointed not to know about the picnic on Sunday.

I drove down Sat. night(From Lincoln, Ca.) just for the dinner. Would have

stayed over and attended the picnic.

The food was delicious and thought the room was decorated very nice. The

music was a little too loud to visit.

Do you have a reunion every 5 years?

Keep me posted.

Thank you,.

Diana (Seward) Graves

Dennis: Both my wife and I had a marvelous time at the reunion. Starting with the "ice breaker" on Friday we enjoyed getting to greet a few folks over dinner. Don Goard myself, my wife and Manny had a very nice dinner before going to the bar. Restaurant was fine along with food. Reunion night was great. Good food, drinks and dancing. We both thought the location in CV was very good as it was closer to our former home of San Lorenzo. Much better than anything more formal as in Oakland last time. The Sunday picnic was great. Good location (again close to our old stomping grounds). The picnic allowed more time to just sit back and talk about whatever might come up. Food was great. Everyone did a fine job. Frank Correia was an excellent cook!! Thanks to all of you for your work.

Dennis,

This time you can speak for me. I can honestly say that the reunion was fantastic. I have attended four of our reunions and I must say this was the best. The setting was great and we could actually talk without having to shout over the music and many friendships were rekindled. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to our next reunion. I am sorry I didn't make it to the Friday night get together. Hopefully more people will make it to the picnic if we have it next time. Kudos to the reunion committee for a fantastic time..........Gordy

Ron Brown

Yes, here's to the organizers of that wonderful time that we all had Sept. 25! Thanks to Dennis for saying what we all had on our minds but didn't say. That good time just didn't happen! Love Ron Go Rebs!

Don...

I am sorry I was unable to make the 40-year SLzHS reunion. I wanted to go, but between health problems and not having enough money...and my car is not currently running...Ruth and I could not make it.

I still thought of everyone however.

How did it turn out? Will any pictures be posted online so other classmates like myself who could not make it can see them? I was in touch with Ron Brown (online) and he said that my name was mentioned a few times (by Dennis Caracciolo and by Claire (Clarilee?) Anderson. I would love to hear from some of them.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Edward, Sr.

Hello Dennis Caracciolo,

I wanted to say hello. My wife, Ruth, and I were unable to make it to the 40-year reunion, although I was thinking of it that night. We have had health problems [I was injured in a bus accident in Oct, 2001 and my back has been having problems since]. My wife of 33 years, Ruth is in a wheelchair and I am her caregiver [she is cebral palsey and epileptic, but also has diabetes now as well as various back pains].

My car [a '74 Datsun, I have had for almost 30 years] has a dead battery so I cannot get far from home. Lately, we have used the bus to get arround to various doctor visits for her and now physical therapy as well.

I wondered how the reunion went, and if there are plans to place any photos and messages from the reunion online. I would love to see them.

My oldest grandson, Rodi [Rodolfo] is already a sophmore in high school in McAllen, TX where my son, Eddie [Edward, Jr.] and his Mexican wife Isabel live with their family. Our youngest grandson, Eric, is in the 3rd grade.

I hope to hear from you. My e-mail address is .

Thanks again.

Sincerley,

Edward A. Black, Sr.

Don:

Was Walter Vercinsky there? Or Sherry McDaniel? Walter helped my wife Ruth and I back in the early 1970s in our move to San Jose and I lost track of of

him and have wanted to contact him again.

I am sorry we were unable to attend, although I was there in spirit.

Thanks again & God Bless.

Sincerley,

Edward A. Black, Sr.

Sandy (Johnson) Lenchanko

Hi Don...it was great seeing everyone on Friday Eve. I was not able to attend Saturday or Sunday but was wondering if you will be posting pictures of the Saturday night Reuion.

Thank You
