SEVEN METHODE ELECTRONICS BUSINESS UNITS NOW HAVE CAGE CODES TO FACILITATE BUSINESS WITH GOVERNMENT ENTITIES & CONTRACTORS

CHICAGO, IL – Methode Electronics, Inc., is announcing its participation in the U.S. Federal Government's Central Contractor Registry (CCR) database of companies identified and certified to do business with government entities and government contractors. Seven Methode business units have now received Commercial and Government Entity Codes (CAGE Codes) referencing their products and services. These codes simplify logistics for those companies and entities seeking to use Methode products or services for government-related business.

The Methode business units participating in the CAGE Code program include Automotive Electronic Controls (automotive components), Methode Connector Products Division (electro-mechanical interconnects and cable assemblies), Network Bus Products (power distribution bus bars), Duel Systems (wireless electronic enclosures and packaging), Magna-lastic Devices (non-contact torque-sensor equipment), Methode Development Company (specialty conductive inks and thick-film technologies, copper SFP transceivers, SFP cages, loopbacks, high-speed cable assemblies and terminators), and Cableco Technologies (power cable assemblies and components).

The CCR's database of CAGE codes makes it easy to find information about registered companies and what they can offer. Corporate data includes contact information, financial information, information on what products or services are provided, and more.

In addition, since the CAGE code--along with the company's part number--is linked to each specific product, it is easy for customers to search for, or re-order a product from, a company that may have changed its telephone number or moved to a different location. It is no longer necessary for an engineer or purchasing agent to try to track down the vendor of a given part from a print, drawing or parts list. Since the CAGE code never changes, an engineer can simply go onto the CCR database, put in the CAGE code along with the part number, and all the latest vendor information will be made available.

Methode's involvement in the CAGE code program is intended to underscore its commitment to serving the U.S. Federal Government directly, as well as any sub-contractors who might do business with the Federal Government.
