Limited Registration Certificate will be supplied to the new owner as soon as it is made available by the American Kennel Club. In the event that the dog will be shown in AKC breed competition events, the registration will be upgraded to a Full or Co-Ownership Registration.
CONDITIONS
1. To the best of the breeder’s knowledge the dog sold is in good health, free of any communicable diseases and of sound temperament at the time of sale. The buyer has 72 hours to have the dog examined by a veterinarian and to personally inspect the dog. Any claims must be made within this time period and will be verified by Breeder’s own veterinarian. Breeder does not assume any liability for any injury to said dog after delivery. Buyer may return dog to Breeder for a full refund for any reason within 72 hours of purchase.
2. No other guarantee is given except in the case that hereditary defects in the dog should require veterinarian-recommended humane destruction of the dog during the first year (12 months) of its life, a replacement will be given when one becomes available, provided that the dog’s condition is substantiated by a veterinarian’s written diagnostic statement. The dog’s temperament is not considered a solely hereditary characteristic, since it is also influenced by the environment. Consequently, the dog’s temperament is not included in the guarantee above.
3. The dog is sold with a limited registration which is registered with the AKC. This means the dog must be spayed or neutered at an appropriate age and confirmation of the procedure must be supplied to the breeder.
4. The Limited Registration will be cancelled, if so requested, once it has been determined that the dog/bitch will compete in AKC conformation competition. It is also understood that this condition requires the dog/bitch having his/her hips OFA Certification at the appropriate age.
5. All dogs whose non-breeding contracts have been cancelled upon fulfilling the requirements outlined in paragraph #4 will be required to have the Breeder select the prospective breeding male / female.
6. If at any time in the dog’s life you cannot keep the dog, the dog comes back to the Breeder
at no charge to the Breeder.
7. Buyer agrees upon purchase of puppy that it will be registered with the name ADORA, followed by a name of Buyer’s choice, not to exceed maximum allowed letters.
8. This contract applies to the original puppy only and is non-transferable to a second party.
9. All male dogs whose non-breeding contracts have been cancelled upon fulfilling the requirements outlined in paragraph #4 will be required to provide two (2) stud services, free of charge for Adora Bullmastiffs, if so requested. The stud service requirement will be deemed completed upon the confirmed pregnancies of the bitches.
10. For all female dogs whose non-breeding contracts have been cancelled upon fulfilling the requirements outlined in paragraph #4, the breeder will be entitled to select one (1) puppy of his choice, free of charge, from first litter whelped.
MAINTENANCE
1. Buyer agrees to maintain this dog in good health, provide routine preventative health care including, but not limited to inoculation, internal and external parasites, and where indicated heartworm preventative medication.
2. Buyer further agrees to provide proper exercise as indicated in order to maintain this dog or bitch in proper weight and physical shape. A proper diet consists of top-quality dog food and supplements. Foods NOT to be fed include highly commercialized brands with artificial preservatives. Vitamin E is an acceptable preservative.
3. Buyer agrees that this dog or bitch is NOT TO BE LEFT IN A BACKYARD OR KENNEL ONLY, OR WILL NOT BE SECURED BY A CHAIN, CABLE OR ROPE. Buyer AVOWED the dog would become a member of the family. (This is to assure proper development and maintenance of the temperament for which the animal was bred.)
4. Buyer agrees to attend obedience classes with this dog and provide proper socialization opportunities.
5. The dog shall NOT be left alone at any time during its life with children under 12 years of age without adult supervision.
6. Buyer agrees Breeder will REPOSSESS DOG UPON EVIDENCE OF NEGLECT AND/OR ABUSE at no expense to the breeder. This shall include, but not limited to, teasing or mistreatment from children or adults.
