In your hands, you hold the Official Information Planning Guide for planning your magnificent weekend to “A Pink Carpet Affair” – Beta Ball Weekend 2009 hosted by the Beta Iota Chapter of Beta Phi Omega Sorority in the sultry and sexy tropical cities of Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida. The Ladies of the Beta Iota Chapter are anxious to share a weekend in our cities with all of our Sorors, their invited Guests, and our many Beta Interests across the country.

The Ocean Sky Hotel and Resort offers shuttle service to and from Fort Lauderdale International Airport for a small fee. Please contact the host hotel for rate.
Airport Shuttle Service from the Miami International Airport can be costly and it is not within close proximity of the Host Hotel. We recommend that you plan your arrival and departure to the Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
Car Rental Service is available!
Car rental service is available at the Fort Lauderdale International and the Miami International Airport. All of the major car rental companies are here. Save time and hassle by booking your car rental reservations before arriving to the airport. Most of the companies will offer shuttle service from the airport terminal directly to the rental car company.

Sundown Meet and Greet – Welcome to South Florida!This event is open to Everyone.
Join us for a sundown Meet and Greet against the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. Sorors, their Invited Guests, and Beta Interests will have the opportunity to mingle, catch up, reconnect, and make new friends while enjoying purchased beverages from the poolside tiki bar and light snack bar menu.
Make sure to check in with the Beta Iota Chapter Official Hostesses at the Welcome Table to receive your Official Beta Ball 2009 Welcome Bags filled with goodies to kick off your Weekend at “A Pink Carpet Affair.” Do not forget to take a souvenir photo with our “blinged-out” Miami-style Beta Flamingo backdrop.
Be one of the first five people to pay for your Beta Ball 2009 ticket and receive a free ten-minute relaxing chair massage from an on-site licensed massage therapist. A relaxing massage is a great way to soothe away any travel blues and ease into a fabulous weekend of events. Massages will also be available for purchase, if you do not win a free massage, at $10 for a ten-minute session.
Or, maybe you would like to learn a few more make-up and beauty tips and receive a free facial from the professionals from Mary Kay Cosmetics, who will be on-site to assist everyone in looking their best the night before you walk the pink carpet at Beta Ball 2009. Facials are free to anyone who signs up at the Welcome Table.
Tickets to all of the events and activities will be available for purchase at the Sundown Meet and Greet Welcome Table.

Paint the town Pink and Blue!
This event is open to Everyone.
Indulge in South Florida nightlife. The sun going down in south Florida does not put a chill on our hot Nightlife. Party with the Betas as we paint the town Pink and Blue! We will party at a popular South Florida Lesbian nightclub until…well, you’re in south Florida, you figure it out! We ask that all Beta Phi Omega Sorority Inc. Members wear WHITE for the club night!
Don’t forget your club admission ticket, your pink, glow in the dark, wristband, and your photo identification.
Meet us in the Host Hotel lobby at 10.30p as we carpool and caravan to the club location.

Putting theory into practice, join us for an hour of reflection, inspiration, motivation, and Sisterhood. Co-hosted by our National Health and Healing Committee. This conference will begin at 12noon; please arrive promptly.

Miami VIP Tour
This event is open to Everyone.
Ride like true celebrities in an air-conditioned, private luxury tour bus as we tour the Magic City – Miami. Sites will include the South Beach (including the Versace Mansion), Coral Gables, Coconut Grove (CoCo Walk), Bayside, and Star Island. This tour offers the opportunity to see Miami up close and personal; enjoy local cuisine; shopping; and much more! You will not want to miss this tour! Your celebrity coach awaits. A “Zen”ful Farewell to South FloridaThis event is open to Everyone.
After a busy, exciting weekend, come and experience one last indulgence that your mind, body, and spirit will surely appreciate before your journey home – Yoga on Fort Lauderdale Beach. A certified Yoga instructor from South Florida’s Yoga One Studios will lead you through a 35-minute Yoga class designed to culminate a weekend of fun and activity just in time for your journey home. Namaste’.
No previous yoga experience is necessary. This is a beginners’ class.
