Training Manager

Camp Guard Officer in Charge, Camps Courtney and McTureous, Okinawa, JP May 2014-May 2015

Coordinated all Camp Guard Force training, to include two shotgun qualification courses, for over 60 security personnel. Developed, wrote and implemented new, Guard Force Standard Operating Procedures, in accordance with DoD, DoN, and USMC regulations and policies, that ensured safety and security procedures aboard the camps were clearly established for and adhered to by the guard force. Assisted in the planning and execution of two Camp-wide Force Protection drills.

Target Information Officer, 1st Marine Division, California and Afghanistan Sep 2011-May 2013

Lead weekly Target Working Groups, and monthly Targeting Boards. Conducted research and analysis using the Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) criteria to mitigate operational targeting deficiencies. Formed and lead a new targeting cell during Force reductions, that supported operational objectives and facilitating the achievement of Mission Essential Tasks, resulting in the disruption of 43 insurgent networks. Successfully transitioned over 3,500 contracted security workers, to Government of Iraq control, thereby saving the U.S. over 500,000 U.S. Dollars per month. Synchronized kinetic targeting and collections with Intelligence sections. Developed Pre-planned, Time Sensitive Target packages for submission to the Regimental Commander and Commanding General. Conducted initial weaponeering and initial collateral damage estimation on all kinetic target packages for submission to the Regimental Commander and Commanding General.

Joint Targeting Battle Damage Assessment Analyst Course – Dam Neck, VA 2013

This course trains staff planners what to measure and how to measure effectiveness of both lethal and non-lethal forces applied to a target or system. Trains planners in assessing munitions effectiveness and providing re-attack recommendations and future target nominations to commanders. This course trains planners in the three phases of battle damage assessment; physical, functional target and functional target systems.

Joint Targeting Weaponeering Applications Course – Dam Neck, VA 2013

This course trains staff planners in the multiple aspects needed to weaponeer a target, from determining strike points to identifying critical infrastructure of target systems.

Joint Operational Fires and Effects Course – Fort Sill, OK 2011

Familiarize officers and senior enlisted with the process of integrating and synchronizing Fires and Effects in a Joint Task Force. This includes synchronizing and incorporating the Joint Targeting Cycle with, the Air Tasking Order Non-lethal effects.
