Welcome Back – to our16th year of SZJHAA events! I hope everyone had a great summer vacation. If there is a new face at the helm of extra-curricular sports in your school, welcome to your position! I am here to help you with any questions you have regarding Junior High Athletics. Please feel free to contact me.

You will find a Check-list of Important Dates(click on Junior High tab) and all sport-related registration forms on their respective pages. (Select the sport on the drop-down menu on the Junior High tab at the top of the page)

The ANNUAL FALL ZONE MEETING will be held on Monday, Oct 5th at Lethbridge Public School District Office,Lethbridgestarting at 1:00 pm (everyone is invited for lunch at 12:00 prior to the meeting). We encourage all schools to be represented. A Meeting Agenda will be on the web site in mid-September.

SCHOOL REGISTRATION FORM:Please complete and return this form to Marg by Sept 30. The form is on the Zone website (click on Junior High tab). Please bring the cheque (annual fee is $35) to the Fall Meeting or mail it to me.

The SZJHAA SCHOOL DIRECTORY is posted on the web site and will be updated as registration forms are received.

RULEBOOK ORDERS: Rulebooks had to be ordered by the end of June. Rulebooks will be distributed at the Fall Meetingto those schools that submitted orders, or as I receive them throughout the year. They will be invoiced next June.

ZONE CROSS-COUNTRY MEET will be hosted Wed, Oct 7at Echo Dale Regional Park, Medicine Hat (Coordinator is Darryl Smith, Eagle Butte High School). An information package and registration form is on the Zone website (Junior HighCROSS COUNTRY)Registration deadline is Thurs, Oct 1, using HyTek or the Excel Form. Member schools are allowed to send as many athletes as they choose to this meet. However, grade 6 students are NOT eligible.

ZONE VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS will be held Nov 6, 7 this year. Schools must register their intent to participatein Zones with Marg by Oct 15. The registration form is on the Zone website (Junior High VOLLEYBALL). Regional play-offs are needed if multiple schools are registered and schools will be notified if this is required.

Information for the other Zone Competitions (Basketball, Badminton and T&F), is also posted on the Zone web site.
