6th Annual Community Christmas & Holiday Sing-Along Concert Sponsorships
The Arroyo Grande Rotary Club is sponsoring the 6th Annual Community Christmas and Holiday Sing-Along at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, December 15th, at 4PM. The event will include performances by various local groups as well as audience sing-alongs of familiar holiday songs. The Sing-Along has attracted sell-out crowds at the Clark Center each year. Performers from local schools, dance studios, and choirs will join the very popular Village Carolers of Studio Sing, Sing, Sing this year celebrating a “Dickens of a Christmas”. One thing for certain is that the 2013 Christmas and Holiday Sing-Along will, once again, provide a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to take a break in their busy schedules to experience the spirit of the season. This show has established itself as a holiday institution in the South County. As a sponsor, you can become part of that tradition.
Sponsor fees are used to offset Clark Center rental and administrative fees as well as advertising costs. The Arroyo Grande Rotary then donates the net proceeds generated from the show to music and arts programs of local schools. Recipients of the funds have purchased instruments, instructional materials used for music and drama education. School budgets have been seriously impacted by the economy, particularly, in the area of music and arts and they are so appreciative of assistance that can be provided by the community at large. The 2012 Sing-Along allowed Rotary to donate almost $2,000 to school music and arts programs and we hope to surpass that amount this year.
Advertising began in September during the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival. Major sponsors will be featured in posters and flyers that are widely distributed during the six weeks preceding the show. The Rotary also works closely with local papers, radio and television stations to develop a public relations campaign. Advertising for the Sing-Along will be prevalent in all these venues prior to the event.
