Dear Parents and Fellow Singers:
The 19th Annual Music of the Masters Scholarship Concert will take place on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake. This is a very unusual concert because it not only showcases the talents of each of the KHS Choirs but also invites community members to perform the major work with us.
This year we will be singing Movements 1-4 from Poulenc’s Gloria (which is one of the All-State pieces). The major work is sung in Latin and will be accompanied by organ and timpani. It will be performed during the 2nd half of our annual scholarship concert.
Last year many talented adults sang with the choir making the concert a huge success. And already this year, choir alumni, music educators, parents, and other community members have volunteered to sing with us. Come join your voices with the KHS choir members and help us make this another truly memorable performance. Rehearsal dates and times are listed below. Music scores and rehearsal CD’s will be given to you at the first rehearsal on Thursday, September 14th.
