Peer Evaluation Assignment
Because of the nature of this assignment, half of the 100 points available to you will be given to you by your peers in your group. If your group were to get the full 100 points on the assignment, each of you would receive 50 points for participating in the assignment, and the other 50 points will be awarded by using the formula provided below.
The points will need to be divided within your group. Based on each member’s contribution to the outline, research, presentation, and activity. You will divide the points accordingly. You need to include yourself in the division. If you feel that each member of your group contributed equally, award each person, including yourself, the full points available. If you feel that some contributed overall more than others, award them more of the points, and less to those who contributed less. Be as honest and fair as possible. Your evaluations will be kept confidential, and will not be shared with your group mates. Amounts awarded to each person will be averaged.
List each of your group members, including yourself, in alphabetical order by first name. Each of you will be held responsible for 50 points. For example, if your group received 90 points on the assignment, 45 points will be given to all group members who participated, and the other 45 points from each person will be put into a group total. If you have six people in your group then the formula will be 6 X 45 = 270. These 270 points will then be divided between your group members based on the amount of work each of you did. If you believe that all of the members of your group contributed equally, then everyone will simply receive 45 points, if not, you will receive an average of the points awarded from each of your peers.
Example: Group grade 90 X .5 = 45 X 6 = 270. Now these 270 points need to be distributed among the group members based on their contribution to the overall assignment.
