41ST ANNUAL TEXAS PACKARD MEET

Dear Packard Enthusiast:

It’s registration time for the41STAnnual Texas Packard Meet, a family oriented meet co-sponsored by ARKLATEX PACKARDS, HEART OF TEXAS PACKARDS, LONE STAR PACKARDS AND PACKARDS NORTH TEXAS. IT WILL BE HELD AT THE INN OF THE HILLS RESORT AND CONFERENCE CENTER, 1001 JUNCTION HIGHWAY (HWY 27), KERRVILLE, TEXAS. PRE-REGISTRATION SHOULD BE POSTMARKED BY MARCH 21, 2018. ON SITE REGISTRATION WILL BE $45.00.

Beverly Teel and Margaret White are handling registration this year.

This meet is a NON-JUDGED event. Participants shall choose their favorite Packard in each classification. First and second place awards will be given in each class. There will be overall top choice awards in the pre-war and post-war eras.

Registration fees and dinner costs appear on the registration form. FAMILY REGISTRATION INCLUDES INDIVIDUAL WITH SPOUSE OR SIGNIFICANT OTHER AND MINOR CHILDREN. The dinner buffet includes chicken fried steak, barbecued chicken, sides, accompaniments, desserts(with a sugar free option), tea and coffee. A CHILD’S PLATE IS FOR ONE WHO IS 12 OR UNDER.

When making individual reservations, please call Inn of the Hills Resort & Conference Center @ 800-292-5690 and request the Texas Packard Meet block to secure the negotiated group room rate. For any additional questions please contact the Texas Packard Meet coordinator (Beverly Clark Teel, 210-922-1300) or Inn of The Hills Sales Department at 830-895-6018. Room rates start at $114.00. Full breakfast buffet is included. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in each room. The block of rooms will be held until March 06,2018. Reservations received after this date will be accepted based on availability. Please make your reservation early because other groups come on the same weekend. Cancellation of a guaranteed individual reservation must be received 24 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid a no-show charge at the group rate. Rooms will be available for check-in on the day of arrival at 4:00 p.m. Checkout time is 12:00 noon. If you made your reservation last year, please call to confirm.

REGISTRATION will be on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Friday morning before the tour,(EARLY BIRD TOUR DEPARTS FRIDAY MORNING AT APPROXIMATELY 8:30 A.M.), from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and reopens on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. in the hospitality room. The hospitality room will be located in Executive Rooms 1 and 2. Since there is free breakfast provided by the Inn, there will be no breakfast items in the hospitality room. Theremight be a National Board Meetingthis year. Saturday’s events include the swap meet, car display for you to choose your favorites, tech sessions, dinner buffet and awards program. PLEASE PLAN ON ATTENDING THE 9:00 A.M. BUSINESS MEETING SUNDAY MORNING. THIS WILL BE A VERY IMPORTANT MEETING CONCERNING THE 2019 ANNUAL TEXAS PACKARD MEET.
