ARMIDALE EIGHTS SQUARE DANCE CLUB

32nd SPRING FESTIVAL 2008

A

rmidale Eights welcome you to our 32nd Spring Festival weekend.
Weespecially appreciate the large number of dancers who have come despite the high price of petrol. A big hello to all the dancers who are here for the first time. We hope it will be a time of fun and friendship for all, of renewing old acquaintances, and of making new ones.

We also welcome our leadership team of Steve, Mike, Marilyn and Suellen who will give us a great weekend.

On the dance program general roundups are shown as (R), couples roundups as (C) and square ups as (S). It will save time and make the sessions more enjoyable if you fill sets as quickly as possible.

Raffles will be drawn on Friday and Saturday nights after the third bracket. Tickets – $1 each or 3 for $2 – are available in the reception area of Lazenby Hall. We believe we have some great prizes; they will be on display where the tickets are sold. Prizes were donated by:

Juoko. We thank him for the valuable prizes he has donated over a number of years.

Directions to the Woolshed

The woolshed is on a property called “Heatherbrae” located on the left hand side of the New England Highway on the way to Glen Innes and Brisbane.

It is 18.6 kms from the roundabout as you join the highway leaving Armidale and heading north. If you are starting from the city area and going north along Marsh Street make sure that, at the traffic lights at the Caltex petrol station, you swing left and then right – i.e. do a left swing through!

Road signs to look for on the left hand side after leaving Armidale and staying on the Highway are:

About 15 kms from the roundabout a sign ……….GI 80K

A bit more than 2 kms further a sign …………….KOALA NEXT 5KM

About 500 m further a sign ………………………..

Start to slow down as the entrance is only another 500 metres.

There is a yellow letterbox, number 12121, at the entrance and we will put out square dance signs.

Please take care as you turn off as the highway traffic can be travelling quite fast.

There is a short gravel road up to the woolshed. Please drive slowly so that we don’t create too much dust.

Very special thanks to “Heatherbrae” owners Richard and Lyn, who have made us so welcome and done so much to help us enjoy ourselves over a number of years.
