REAPING THE KENYAN HARVEST

Harvestime ministers to national Christian leaders around the world by providing training material to enable them to do the work of God. Many of these believers do not own any type of study books, they are not near a Bible college, and there are no Christian bookstores nearby. Harvestime is their only source of training.

Many who receive our materials are pastors and evangelists who want to establish Bible schools to train others. They are able to do this using Harvestime curriculum and our Immediate Institute strategy.

This month, we focus on the nation of Kenya. The letter we selected for this edition of CO-OP reflects what it is like to minister innations where disease, famine, poverty, and persecution prevail. Pastor James is just one example of the Harvestime Network that literally spans the entire globe.

Dear Servants of the Lord!

I was reading the Harvestime materials on the Internet and your pages touched my inner being, so I decided to write and inform you how we do our work and request that you send all the materials you have to us!
I am Pastor James Okenda from Kenya, Africa. Iwant to share with you the circumstances under which we are doing the work of the Lord. It is not easy to do God's work here in Kenya, especially in areas where superstitious beliefs, violence, and unrest are widespread. Add to this the opposition from anti-Christian forces--and oh, we so need your prayers!
We are striving with every nerve of our being to reach unreached men and women and win the lost for Jesus Christ. In spite of persecution, reproaches, and insults, we will continue to do this until our last breath.
We meet with desperate families, orphans, and widows and share with them the riches of Christ. Currently we have 15 orphans in our care. We visit rural villages, tribal and jungle areas,to preach the gospel. We go door-to-door to distribute literature and do individual evangelism. We conduct gospel meetings, using kerosene lamps to see in order to preach, as most villages are without electricity. We walk on rocky roads, facing dangers at night--but we are steadfast to see that the Lord's work is done. The Spirit led me to your website, and I was moved by your work as I went through all of your pages. I am sure that the Father is well pleased with you and that you will have great rewards from Him. I wholeheartedly praise the Lord for you and your wonderful ministry.
Kenya is a community of good people, but it has been saturated with false doctrines and errant publications which are leading many people into deception. Please pray for our nation and send us your materials!

YOUR GIFTS MET THE NEED!

Because of your faithfulness in giving, we were able to send Pastor James the training materials necessary to establish a Bible school. There is not a week that goes by that we don't receive requests like this. Because of your generosity, each week take a load of materials to the post office to dispatch around the world. We are so thankful for your financial support of this mission. Only eternity will reveal the results!

Yours for the harvest,

Argis and Patricia Hulsey
