3Definition

Company procedures refers to all documented policies, procedures, and methodologies of the candidate’s employer at the time of training includingbut not limited tothose relating tohealth, safety, environment,quality, and operations.

Outcomes and evidence requirements

Outcome 1

Describe and complete documentation for bitumen blends.

Rangeincludes but is not limited to – dangerous goods declarations, blending certificates, inwards/outwards goods, cartage/delivery, stock control, quality assurance.

Evidence requirements

1.1Legal, company, and customer requirements for documenting inwards, outwards, and stored goods are described.

1.2Documentation is completed in accordance with company procedures and legislative requirements.

Outcome 2

Determine blend components and produce blending certificates.

Rangenew blend into empty tank, volume adjustment to existing blend, modification of existing blend.

Evidence requirements

2.1Contents in receiving tank, in-coming materials, and components to be added are determined in accordance with company procedures.

2.2Volumetric blend is determined to allow for temperature correction.

2.3Consequences of blending non-compatible bituminous materials are recognised and documented.

2.4Blending certificate are produced in accordance with company and customer requirements.
