The Fairfax County Council of PTAs (FCCPTA) is the oldest and largest volunteer child advocacy organization in Fairfax County with over 170 individual school PTAs and PTSAs and over 35,000 members. Its mission is to make every child’s potential a reality.

Chairman Bulova was re-elected Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on November 3, 2015. She was first elected Chairman in a special election on February 3, 2009. Prior to serving as Chairman, she was the Braddock District Supervisor from 1988 - 2009. Sharon believesan informed and engaged community is a well-served constituency. It is important that the community has a place at the table when decisions are being made. Community engagement is essential to striking the right balance between keeping taxes affordable and protecting the quality of life and services we value.

Vice Chairman Gross was first elected to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for the Mason District in November 1995, and was re-elected to her sixth term on November 3, 2015. Ms. Gross also is vice-chair of the Board, and she chairs the Board’s Personnel Policy and Reorganization Committee, and the Board’s Environment Committee.

Regionally, Supervisor Gross represents Fairfax County on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG), which she chaired in 2009. She was elected chairman of the Northern Virginia Regional Commission in June 2014. Supervisor Gross represents Fairfax County on the INOVA Health System Board of Trustees, and on the Potomac Watershed Roundtable, which she also chairs.

Supervisor Cook was sworn in as a member of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, representing the Braddock District, in March of 2009. He was subsequently reelected in 2011 and again in 2015. Supervisor Cook was named the 2014 Shelter House Community Champion for his work fighting domestic violence and was given the 2014 President’s Award by the Fairfax County NAACP. As a member of the Board of Supervisors he serves as the Chairman of the Public Safety Committee, the Chairman of the Fairfax County – Fairfax City Inter-Jurisdictional Committee, the Vice-Chair of the Board’s “50+” Committee, and as Chair of the Domestic Violence Prevention, Policy and Coordinating Council of Fairfax County.

Supervisor Foust was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2007 and re-elected in 2011 and 2015. He represents the Dranesville District which includes McLean, Great Falls, Herndon and portions of Vienna and Falls Church. He serves as Chairman of the Board’s Transportation Committee, the Information Technology Committee,and the Fairfax County Economic Advisory Commission as well as serving as a Vice Chairman of the Board’s Budget Committee. He also serves on the Audit Committee, and the Housing and Community Development Committee.

Supervisor Hudgins was elected to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in 1999. She represents one of the largest Magisterial Districts in the County with a growing diverse population and changing land use development. She serves as the Chair of the Board's Human Services and Housing and Community Development Committees and member of the Governing Board for the Initiative to Prevent and End Homelessness.Supervisor Hudgins finds her greatest satisfaction in assisting constituents obtain services critical to maintaining more sustainable lives.

Supervisor McKay was first elected Lee District Supervisor in November 2007 after serving as chief of staff to former Lee District Supervisor Dana Kauffman from 1996 through 2007. He began his third term in January 2016. Supervisor McKay chairs the County Board’s Budget Committee, Legislative Committee, and co-chairs the Board’s committee on Community Revitalization and Reinvestment. Additionally, he serves on the Successful Children and Youth Policy Team (SCYPT) and served on the joint Board of Supervisors/ School Board Infrastructure Financing Committee. Jeff is also asworn Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Fairfax County.

Supervisor Storck was elected to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on November 3, 2015 and began his first term on January 1, 2016. He has developed and owned several health care, benefits and insurance consulting firms. Storck holds an M.B.A. in management and a B.S. in finance from Miami University (Ohio). He is a former board president of Good Shepherd Housing, West Potomac High School PTSA, and Riverside Gardens Recreation Association, as well as a former Head Start administrator and youth basketball coach.

Supervisor Storck served on the Fairfax County School Board from January 2004 through December 2015, including three terms as School Board chairman. He initiated the School Board’s Audit Committee, chaired the Audit, Governance, Public Engagement, Human Resources and Legislative committees and co-chaired two joint School Board/Board of Supervisor committees.

Supervisor Smyth was elected to serve her first four-year term to the Board of Supervisors in November 2003 and was inaugurated on December 15, 2003. Ms. Smyth was re-elected to serve her second four-year term to the Board of Supervisors in November 2007 and wasinaugurated on December 12, 2007. On November 8, 2011, Ms. Smyth was re-elected to serve her third four-year term to the Board of Supervisors and wasinaugurated on December 13, 2011. Supervisor Herrity, as the son of former Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Herrity, grew up attending community meetings and budget hearings; he was raised with regular discussion of issues concerning Fairfax County at home giving him a deep understanding of our County and the issues we face today. Supervisor Smith started her four-year term as the Sully District Supervisor in January 2016.

She is the Chair of the Board of Supervisors’ Development Process Committee. The

Committee’s purpose is to review the Zoning Ordinance and land use issues affecting

Fairfax County. She represented the Sully District on the Fairfax County School Board

for fourteen years. While on the School Board, Kathywas electedChairman three

times.Kathy has livedin Sully District with her husband, Steve, since 1984.They have four

children who all attended Fairfax County Public Schools. Supervisor Smith served as PTA President at all three schoolsattended by her children-- Chantilly High, Rocky Run Middle, and Poplar Tree

Elementary.
