2016 – 2017 LINKS Missionary Assignments
Your LINKS Missionaries Need To...
•Be a part of your church’s life.
•Hear about your church’s concerns.
•Receive interesting and optimistic letters.
•Share in the excitement of new developments in your
community.
•Receive your newsletters and/or bulletins.
•Be surprised with a card for no special reason.
•Become better acquainted with you and your church family.
•Be remembered with cards and/or gifts for birthdays and
anniversaries.
•Have deputation services in their LINKS churches when on
home assignment.
•Be assured of your prayers.
•Just know you care!
LINKS Calendar
Contact your LINKS missionary regularly. They love to receive
cards/notes in the mail, but it may not be possible for them
to respond to all correspondence. Use the following calendar as atemplate for planning the LINKS portion of your church year.
Information needed before completing your calendar (insert into
calendar):
•Birthdays for each family member, and anniversary of the missionaries (if you are assigned a missionary couple).
•Find out holidays that are especially meaningful to your LINKS
family. If they are from a country other than where you live,
they would be thrilled to know that you have taken the time
to help them celebrate those days. Or maybe there are some
holidays in their place of service that they like to celebrate; ask
them to tell your church about the customs surrounding the
holidays and what their family does to celebrate.
•Special events such as graduations, school sessions/holidays,
etc.
JANUARY
•Send a “We are thinking of you” card. Have your missions
group sign it.
•If your LINKS missionaries have college-aged MKs, let them
know you are thinking of and praying for them as they begin a
new semester.
•Events happening in February that need to be remembered
with a card, note, or small gift.

on which your LINKS family serves.
